This was the best meal we had in a week of outstanding meals in Portugal. All the dishes were excellent and wile the wild boar was something I am glad to have tried once, the steak was totally out of this world, 110 per cent! All the dishes were designed to be shared, which particularly appealed to the Asian side of my family. The whole experience was complimented by the lively surroundings and whimsical artworks, and the accompanying own brand wines chosen by the attentive sommelier were all superb. All in all a most enjoyable evening (and excellent value too!)

What a hugely disappointing experience.The restaurant has gone down hill in last few years (due to change of ownership).Poor service, miserable and unhelpful staff. Food quality is very poor for the price point.Much better options in Estremoz, don’t waste your time here.

I’ve had dinner here a few times now, although it’s been a few years since my last visit. I didn’t think my previous experience could be bettered but I was gladly proven wrong. The skitake mushrooms and spiced lamb tortillas were personal favourites. The world class winery alongside the restaurant helps elevate the experience to another level. You can’t go wrong with the Reserva red.

This restaurant was highly recommended by some popular bloggers. Drove over 45 min only to be very disappointed. Firstly they messed up our reservation and moved it earlier. It’s definitely not Michelin quality or service. Have been to many in Portugal and this does not compare. Service was awful very rushed not attentive. We had to pour our own wines and water. Food was seemed pre prepared as it came out very fast and quality was just okay. Meat was poor cut as well and over cooked. No Michelin chef over cooks meat if they know what they are doing. Sadly I will not go back nor would I recommend. ????
Visiting Howard's Folly was easily the best part of my recent trip to Portugal. The food is better than the majority of restaurants you'll find in Porto and Lisbon. The wine list is excellent, with the rose being a particular highlight. And the service was exceptional - the staff were attentive and polite, and the decor and art was great.

This is a truly exceptional restaurant set within a winery and surrounded by some great pieces of art. Both the food and wine are excellent - we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening here.

We had such a lovely time at Howard's Folly back in August. The food was delish and the rosè is a must try. This is a must visit when in Estremoz along with the tile museum.

Wow! From the moment we entered we knew we were in for a special evening. The place itself is just amazing! Great art, great music, everywhere you look there is something unusual to catch the eye. The food choice/menu was very good and our waiter, Vasco, explained how the sharing concept worked. We also shared a recommended wine flight to compliment each course. We loved the food! Each course was a pleasure to eat. Portions were plentiful. Service was very good. Thoroughly recommend a visit. Thank you HF
