Very sorry to have entered this restaurant. We ordered dish of the day (olives+bread+Paella+drink 10.50), in addition to serving very small quantities, the paella was not good. We were not given bread or olives which we were surprised by but as the paella was served quickly we ended up saying nothing. In the end they still wanted to charge as if it wasn't the dish of the day (more or less 3 euros per additional dish). Based on my experience, I do not recommend it nor will I return.

I popped in for a beer with a friend after a long trip. They looked at us suspiciously and we were treated as if they were doing us a favor.
In 4 days of traveling through Alentejo and Algarve, it was the worst place I set foot.

Lured into this tiny restaurant by the very positive reviews, I have mixed feelings. The food is very simple, yet fresh and made to order. What I found misleading is that the menu of the day is not available during weekend, unlike what the signage outside of the restaurant suggests. Hence instead of a 10 eur lunch set, which would be good value, we ended up eating a la carte for 12 eur per dish plus drinks and bread. There are better options at that price tag (see my other reviews, vauban restaurant).

Excellent bar to enjoy the authentic atmosphere and meet people from Evora, very different from the typical tourist place. Good snacks, good wine and very pleasant service. A must visit if you come here.

The food was amazing but it was a bit annoying that we were not charged what was on the board. We had the black pork which was DELICIOUS but was listed as €12 and we were charged 17. A bottle of wine was listed as 3.50, and we were charged 15. It was worth what we paid, but no one likes to feel they've been taken for a ride : go, enjoy the food, buy check the bill.

A real surprise for those who didn't know! It goes unnoticed if we don't look inside and read its name at the bottom. High chairs with a tapas bar configuration, but where the tasting reminds us of home. A carrot cream, some joaquins with tomato rice and some crumbly cheeks, accompanied by a tasty mashed potato, was our meal. For dessert, just a cookie to accompany the coffee! And the biggest surprise at the end! 15€ per head!! Blessed cook!!

We ordered a wine and he gave us a carafe, plus a mini Sagres and charged us €4.80. Scandalous. Tourists beware.

We served the menu of the day. Simply exquisite!! A tomato soup with egg, bread and sausages. Olives to snack on. For dessert, quince. We ordered coffee and they brought us some irresistible orange cookies. Family atmosphere. Everyone knows each other, the owner is very attentive. I highly recommend it.
