Tasty dinner, the concept of the place is sharing, we took mushrooms sautéed with onion and garlic, veal with pepper, cod (they were also spiced bruschetta with garlic, onion and vinegar), roasted prawns and to finish instead of dessert we chose figs with ham and basil. Everything was excellent, dishes cooked with passion, an environment suitable for couples or special dinners. Nice environment, friendly staff

Dropped by for a wonderful dinner with my family this evening. We didn’t have reservations but they managed to seat us right away despite it being a busy evening. This is a family run business and they are very welcoming and kind. Our server who is the owners son, informed us that is was a tapas style menu and each dish would be served one by one and cooked fresh with local ingredients. We ordered Beef with pepper sauce, mussels from their special daily menu, chorizo with apples, bread and roasted potatoes. We weren’t sure if that was enough food and he suggested that we could order more food and later cancel later as they were prepared one by one. He thought this was plenty of food and it sure was. The mussels were out of this world and my children wanted to lick the sauce off the bowl. Everything was fresh, perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Our favourite meal in Portugal and I wish we were staying longer and could go back. I desperately wanted dessert but we were full and didn’t have much room. The service was excellent and yes the food will take a while and come one by one but it was perfect and we knew ahead of time and didn’t mind it one bit. Wine was smooth and delicious as well. I highly recommend this place.

My wife and I were visiting Portugal for the first time and one of our stops was Evora. We found this little place and stopped by right when it opened hoping to check it out. It's a very small place and you definitely should plan to send a reservation if you want to get in, but the owner was SO nice and found a way to fit us in 30 minutes later. We ate at numerous places over a 2 week period and this place was by far the best food we had. The owners are so attentive to their guests, checking to see that they are enjoying their food and clearly take so much pride in what they do. I cannot say enough how nice it was to meet them and talk to them while we had some amazing small plates. From the chorizo with grilled apples, to some stuffed jalapenos and some black pepper beef, everything we had there was amazing. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience, we absolutely won't forgot this part of our trip!

All the dishes we ordered were wonderful and the service was very good. Without a doubt one of the best restaurants we went to in Portugal. It's a family restaurant, we were served by João, while his parents prepared the dishes. We ate the happy prawns with mustard, garlic and honey sauce (my favorite), the seared tuna with gorgonzola sauce, the portobello mushrooms with lemon and garlic, the octopus and cod salad and a bottle of wine for 4 people. Everything was very tasty and the bill was approximately 25 euros per person. I recommend it without a doubt and when I return to Evora I will definitely go back there.

Great family owned restaurant. Highly recommend the rose sangria, padron peppers, shrimp with garlic, and steak. Each dish came with an explanation of the recipe’s family origins. Some dishes were heavy on the olive oil, but that’s to be expected—you’re in Portugal. Extremely attentive and friendly service, nice dining room. Definitely eat here if you’re looking for tapas in Evora.
