Start to finish excellent. Atmosphere & service. Best meal we had in Portugal. Showed up near close without reservation and they were so accommodating. Presentation is really impressive. And above all flavor was superb

Disgraceful, the service and portion size is outright disrespectful.
The price is extortionate, let alone the abysmal portion size. Everything is designed to spend more money, the concept is a big sham. They say the small portion sizes is to make people share but the plates aren’t designed to be shared.
They refused to give us a big table inside for fears of other reservations that were inside. However the inside stayed nearly empty for the whole evening, meaning that the servers lied to us.

I discovered Cavalarica, Alentejano wines, exquisite carta, tapas and fusion of flavours. A place for delight.

It was a lovely experience from start to finish. The menu had a diverse set of options set up in a way that was intended to share and I recommend experiencing it that way. The tuna tartar was immaculate with a fresh flavour profile. The beef was incredible and was cooked to perfection. The service was incredibly welcoming and professional. From start to finish it was a wonderful experience and if you’re in Evora I highly recommend going here for a dining experience you won’t forget. Cheers to the staff and chefs for making such a warm memory.

A beautiful setting, cool on the terrace, stunning art and decoration that is before I start on the food. Stunning dishes each one is a standout hero’s in its own right.

Such an amazing atmosphere and feeling, so calm and chill. Even our little ones could find their entertainment by jumping through little pools.

A unique culinary experience.
Mixture of flavors, presentations, quality of products, service...everything is worthy of a great restaurant.
The concept of sharing tapas is designed to allow you to taste many things.
The quantities and qualities are those of a high-end restaurant (so negative reviews for lack of quantity can be justified, but it all depends on what you are looking for...).
The terrace, in the heart of the historic center, is shaded and very quiet.
The wines are sought after and many options by the glass.

Located in the historic area of Évora. A garden like a terrace, shaded by a dense loquat tree. I loved! There were 7 of us, we chose to choose mostly dishes to share. Alentejo bread, rye bread, homemade butter and extra virgin olive oil were the starters chosen.
As for dishes to share, my choice goes to:
- Tortilla from Alentejo
- Pickled rabbit, wheat flatbread;
- Monte do Roque and smoked duck patty, turnip jelly, cabbage powder
- Sautéed cuttlefish, salted new potatoes, smoked cuttlefish ink sauce.
The desserts of choice were:
- Dark chocolate semifreddo, sour cherry, peanuts
- Citrus pie, chamomile ice cream and honey
- Azorean pineapple and blackberry, ginger and lavender parfait
Everything served with great kindness and patience by David!
I will definitely come back!!

The courtyard is beautiful, very open and very opposite the usual place to eat which are usually very cramped and tight so if you want to break away from the small table experience and have some room to breath this place was great.
The service was fantastic, very knowledgeable and had great recommendations for wine pairing.
Cocktails were nice, the espresso martini was amazing. The price is about double the usual Portuguese restaurant but it was worth it.
Vegetarian options: They have options on the menu that are vegetarian
Dietary restrictions: Upfront about customizing the food
Kid-friendliness: Plenty of room in the courtyard for kids to run around

Excellent “alentjano” atmosphere, impeccable service, 5 star professionalism, warm welcome, perfect vegetarian options, great wine and heavenly dark chocolate dessert (seriously, make sure to save some space for it) which was accompanied by a glass of Porto wine on the house. We enjoyed our evening a lot, when I come back to Évora this is definitely the place that I will come. To the contrary of some comments I saw, the 10% tip is not mandatory and they say it clearly. Anyway, the personal and the experience deserve much more!
