Although the service and ambiance were commendable, the dining experience at this Italian restaurant fell flat. The Linguine with Alba Trufa, touted as the main chef's specialty, lacked emotion and flavor - a tasteless disaster at a hefty price of 24€ for pasta and butter. I did not even taste the truffle, an advice, build the sauce with a little truffle to increase the flavor. The disappointment in the main course left me hesitant to venture into desserts, making this otherwise promising place a culinary letdown. Do not recommend.

We were enormously impressed by the food - wonderfully cooked pasta with delicious and imaginative toppings, beautifully cooked meat of great quality, and an amazing selection of dolce one of which - the Lava Cake - was outstanding. The chef is Portuguese, the waiters very personable, the decor beautiful, and the setting by the sea perfect. 11/10 if this was possible.

I arrive and I don't ask for anything, it's Manuel (owner), who knows what I'm going to eat !!5 star food with the touch that only Manuel knows how to give !!!My Lisbon colleagues already know where to eat and they are always the ones asking to go !!

Each year, for many years, we have spent several weeks in this area of Portugal and have eaten at several restaurants occupying this beautiful location. On this occasion, we visited Mare for the first time. The food was good (soup/pica pau do mar, followed grilled fresh fish). The location warrants the premium price and the intention is clearly to provide service to match. We received a warm welcome. Initially, the service was excellent, although our main courses arrived within seconds of clearing our starters, perhaps a little too quickly. From that point, as the restaurant became busier (not full) the service went downhill. We didn't receive any further attention until our main course dishes were cleared an hour later and, having waited a further 15 minutes without any offer of drinks, puddings, desserts or coffee, we stood, paid our bill and left. Sadly, the experience started well, but was an overall disappointment.

We had breakfast with our party of 9 (4 adults and 5 kids) we felt super welcome and they were accommodating of our kids. The spread was delicious and had a great variety. They ensured our peanut allergy kid was safe.
Amazing food experiment and sunset backdrop that will make you thank the heavens. Fish ceviche- outstanding. Grilled shrimp - the sauce will have lick the plate. Get the fish stew and octopus for main course- you wI'll not be disappointed. Great service also. and octopus for me and Course you will not because oh do you know
