Indoor and outdoor seating. Traditional regional options, which include Spanish dishes. We tried local red wine, chosen from ann impressive list, and loved it. A good intro to Alentejo.
Very nice food, amazing service, would recommend when in Evora, one of the best (if not the best)!

We had an enjoyable dinner. The staff really hustle to keep the food moving and drinks filled. All the dishes we had were of high quality, and enjoyable. The Mel e Noz cake was probably the best I’ve had. Service was a little slow in the beginning, but improved as the night continues. When considering the number of wait staff and tables, I felt the kitchen and staff performed excellent. Obrigado por tudo.
One of the best servers I've had in a long time. Silly large portions of delicious local dishes. Great atmosphere and vibes. We walked in on a Saturday night and within seconds we had a fabulous seat, starters and stories. Huge thanks for a memorable evening in Evora.

It took us 1 hour to wait for our dishes though we didn’t order starters. The meat was dry.
Delicious Portuguese food, great atmosphere and helpful staff good value for money Traditional room with nice decorations on the wall gave us a welcome feeling
I am rarely disappointed with restaurants in Portugal but this one is one of the very few. And I go to Portugal quite frequently. I should have been forewarned by the tourists inside. Our waiter was brusque. The prices were too high. I thought I’ll give it a try. After all , it has good reviews at TripAdvisor. First , they did not have our first choice. We picked a second choice and he has to check with the chef. After it got approved, we waited for a long time to het our food. When we finally got served, one of our main dish was wrong. I would have asked to return it but we already waited too long. So I okayed it. The waiter said he will not charge for our water. Lol. Ok whatever. I may have been made subjective by my initial experience but I’ve never tasted bland Portuguese food. The bacalhau sem chega is very bland. The wrongly brought dish, polvo à lagareiro, also did not have that taste I am used too. Too bland, and that’s the most expensive on the menu. I don’t mind paying , if the food is worth it. There are other much tastier restaurants in the area. However in my opinion, this restaurant fared badly. I just didn’t get what I am expecting at this restaurant.
Restaurantji Recommends
Food amount was tiny for 30 bucks, gnocchi was pretty average and it just tasted like a pretty regular Bolognese, go elsewhere where they give you proper portion sizes. Also there was a cockroach, kinda dirty.Don't recommend.
The restaurant was great. The local food, fantastic and the service was spot on. We were made to feel very comfortable and guided through the local dishes.
The food was amazing- we had 3 different entrees at the table and all were so good we would order again. The service was just as superb- courteous and helpful. I highly recommend Guiao to anyone visiting Evora.
I wanted to be seated at a table but supposedly it was „full“ although only three tables were occupied at 1:15pm. Very random, it seemed that the waiter couldn’t care less.
Perfect service, so delicious.
