5.50 euros for a beer. My eyes are still watering. I've been paying 3 euros in many places in Portugal so the tourist price charged here was a shock. I really don't see the point in overcharging tourists. It doesn't help their business in the long run.

Unwelcoming service. We took two veal steaks, both very very tough; the fried potatoes had already been fried for some time and, as a substitute for the rice since we were intolerant to the butter, they didn't add anything, so I paid for the bread... not recommended!!!!

Not many places open in Évora on Monday so we figured we would try this place as it generally has a lot of people sitting out. We have thoroughly enjoyed a lot of our meals in Portugal but this place was incredibly disappointing. The lamb stew was all fat and had huge soggy pieces of bread sitting on top. The dogfish stew was bland and also had the soggy bread. The service was poor and servers were rude. Not worth the money and would not recommend.
