Even though they say you can pay by card, they force you to pay with cash. Very slow and inattentive service. Good food

As soon as we arrived they said they only sat outside without reservations despite the restaurant inside having empty tables. They made us wait more than half an hour for a table to open up outside and refused to sit at it because it was a table for four people and there were only two of us (even though there was no one else waiting). The supposedly reserved tables were never occupied. After waiting almost an hour we decided to give up.

My experience at this restaurant was not good at all, grilled lamb chops with no flavor whatsoever, rice with barely dissolved knorr broth, super salty potatoes and flavorless and undercooked chicken steak. I do not recommend!!!

I already had it at Martinho about a year and a half ago (in a 4-day stay in Évora we came here to eat 3 times) and on this new visit to Évora we had to go back!
Once again, well served and the food is still great!
The waiting time never bothered us firstly because we are on vacation, secondly because all the food is made fresh and makes up for the waiting time! The dishes we ordered didn't come with rice as an accompaniment but we were immediately told that they could make it on the spot and that was it! The tomato soup is very good and the meat is of very good quality and well cooked!
Without a doubt, it was a “find” where you can eat very well and at an affordable price!
We will definitely be back! ?

Restaurant in the historic center. Excellent quality food and atmosphere. Price vs quality very good. Caring and professional service (Chef Martinho and his collaborator Dani). I recommend a visit.

Delicious food at a very good price. We ordered a menu that included bread, olives, a drink, spirit cod and coffee (€10), and a plate of asparagus crumbs (€10). The only downside was that we couldn't pay by card, only cash. Otherwise, friendly staff and reasonable waiting times.
