If you want amazing pork, migas and coffee, go here! The black pork was so succulent, and the migas was to die for! The staff were so kind, and even though I didn't speak much Portugese I felt right at home. For the quality of the food, the prices are excellent as well - I would have paid double! 10/10!!

Superb restaurant, and superb, professional service from a gentleman. We were stunned by every dish we ordered: gazpacho with fried fish; fresh local cheese; roasted lamb; cod migas.Unbelievably flavorful, and generous portions. We later learned that all of these dishes are genuine Alentejo classics, prepared faithfully. This is what you are looking for if you're looking for "real".

Very basic place with no atmosphere, not the best food and yet expensive. Charging 17€ for a small dose of “Carne de Porco à Alentejana” served with tiny mussels and a few french fries it’s a joke. Also the “Açorda de Marisco” was loaded with the same tiny mussels, too small to be eaten, instead of having enough prawns. As for bathrooms just terrible as they look too old, dirty and smelly. No justification for that.

Today I went to Evora and have lunch here, I ordered dogfish soup(traditional dish) , the portion is big enough n good price, the fish is so soft and no bone.

Sincerely the highlight of our trip to Évora! The food is amazing and they treat you like family! The traditional Portuguese food and green wine is such a treat!

My wife and I found this restaurant after a long day of touring. It’s a little bit off one of the squares in town. The service was excellent along with the food. We started with a salad that we shared. Very fresh and delicious. I had the fried pork. Very tender. Large enough for two. Maybe consider sharing one entre. Overall great experience. 5 stars.

After looking at several reviews on this site, we pegged this restaurant. It is located off a side street and is rather non-descript. They did not open until 7:00 or so and so we walked around before heading back to try them. Arriving about 7:30 to an empty restaurant, they did not seem to be particularly attentive with service but eventually came to our table with 1 menu for 5 people (a custom we were beginning to get used to). Our meals were good --not super large that two could share as some reviewers stated--but not spectacular. Even with no others in the restaurant our meal was slow to arrive. Can't complain about the meal but can't rave either.

Oh my gosh, what a great place. Had the lamb stew, french fries (which are done in a separate fryer so GLUTEN FREE) and a great tomato/onion/lettuce salad. Our waiter was awesome. Highly recommend.

This restaurant was recommended by our local airbnb host. Great local food. Sizable portions, so we ended up taking 1/2 back to our apartment for dinner next evening. If I went again, I would eat the starters and order 1 meal per 2 adults. The service was excellent, as was the presentation. We were there in November, and there was only one other occupied table. Price for 2 dinners with startes was 27 euros.

We came to São Domingos for a late lovely lunch. The family owners were very kind and there were other locals dining. The highlight of our meal was the bacalhau tomato soup, which was one of the most incredible dishes we had in Evora! The tomato base is served first in a bowl, then add bread, cod and potatoes to your liking. The flavors were spectacular. The other dish was grilled bife, with egg on top and home made fries, a traditional Portuguese meal. A simple side sale accompanied the steak and it was delicious. We highly recommended for a local vibe and amazing soup!
