The food was good, and there was a wide selection of vegan dishes. Most of the desserts were also vegan, and the cake tasted great. You can either fill a small plate once (7.50€) or weigh a large plate (18.50€/kg). The owner was extremely friendly and gladly explained everything about the dishes, mentioning which ones were vegan.

I forgot to write revue last year when I visited, but I thought this restaurant was excellent, one of the most enjoyable of my visit to Portugal. It was simple and comfortable, with plates sold by weight. The owner(or manager) was there and explained all the many dishes. They source local foods when possible. I got a smaller plate, very reasonable price, sampled the menus, and everything I ate was excellent- very fresh and well made. They have homemade desserts too. They were closing for the afternoon, so I skipped dessert, but the homemade apple crisp cake looked wonderful! One of the best things in Evora.

Finding such a long-standing vegetarian restaurant outside of Portugal's big cities was an unexpected treat! It turns out Salsa Verde is one of the oldest veggie restaurants in the country and has been lighting the way towards kinder eating in Portugal for over 15 years. They create a supreme daily buffet of incredible homemade dishes using super fresh and local ingredients. The good news is that the majority of it was fully plant-based, so the vegan options were plentiful and super tasty. This is a great place to come and experience a wide range of delicious dishes in one go and as such we ended up with our plates piled high and well fuelled up for the rest of our exploration of Evora.
Everything here is vegetarian friendly, with plenty of options. It's not a fancy place and it's a self-serve buffet, so the food is not made to order. Still, all the things that I tried was fresh and well prepared. I didn't feel as if anything was sitting out too long as can be the case with buffet style restaurants.The decor is simple and functional, and the restaurant was clean and well kept.The staff was very friendly and welcoming, happy to answer any questions, and her English was very good.This place wasn't a highlight of our trip, but it was still good and I'd return if given the opportunity.

We ate on 3/14/24. We are not vegan or vegetarian but I had a roast seitan and a tofu caldeirada that I loved. For dessert, a very delicious fresh fruit salad at its peak of seasoning.Quiet and pleasant atmosphere, reasonable price and no waste of time.Come on, I would repeat!!!
