Taste of India in Evora is a life saver for vegetarians in a part of the town with extremely limited vegetarian options. It is about a five minute walk from the town center. The restaurant is cozy, clean, and serves authentic Indian food. My wife and I had delicious naans and veg curry.
Delicious food, friendly staff, vegan options and the options to turn Vegetarian options into vegan. In the centre of Évora, easy ti find. Take way available. #Veganuary
There is a vegetarian/vegan section to the menu. I asked which of the dishes were vegan and they were very helpful and said that all of the vegetarian dishes could be made vegan, with the exception of the paneer. We went for the chaat masala and onion bhajis and both were fantastic.
With Indian you can't go wrong! We had chicken tikka masala and chicken butter, both excellent with white rice and naan bread! Very affordable, I highly recommend

A small, quiet Indian restaurant with air conditioning and excellent food. (Chicken Korma and Garlic Naan are recommended)

The Jewel of Evora is right here! This is homemade high quality Indian food with quality ingredients you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else. Perfect flavors lovingly prepared by a wonderful family whom we had the honor of getting to know during our meal. They even make their own cheese among other things. Order extra to take with you and make sure you try the Pedras Salgadas naturally carbonated mineral water. This is a 5/5 restaurant you should not miss.

Very friendly, excellent service, tasty food and better than most curry houses in the UK. Would go again if I lived there. Approx €20 each for a good amount of food.

This place was such a pleasant surprise in Evora! It was our first time traveling to Portugal and our daughter loves Chicken Tikka Massala, so we had all of our bases covered. The food was delicious, the staff were super friendly and it was a great atmosphere for our family. A few hours after our meal, we realized we had lost her baby doll. The staff had “baby” sitting right behind the front window for us. I can’t recommend this place enough, the food was better than the place we ate at in Lisbon!
Kid-friendliness: Our server was very friendly and loved interacting with our daughter. Lovely family setting.

Coming to Portugal from the US, we did not expect to eat Indian food, but wouldn’t have it any other way! This is some of the best Indian food we’ve ever had- and we’ve had a lot of Indian food. He had palak paneer and butter chicken and naan, all so delicious and the chicken was so flavorful. Owners were friendly. A gem, definitely recommend!
