We went to Adega popular on purpose for dinner, Google maps said it was a very highly rated place, and that it is open until 11pm, but in fact Adega popular was closed, without any announcement, or opening hours on its door. We stayed in a cafe next door, we observed a group of people, who were also surprised by the closed door of the restaurant.

I liked the space, rustic, relaxed, attentive service, typical with me, homemade flavor. I went today for the first time, I ate veal roasted in a wood-fired oven, it was really good... Without a doubt I'll be repeating it! I recommend!

A real wine cellar...with the flavors of yesteryear.I loved the traditional tomato and lettuce salad, with a point of differentiation (red wine vinegar). I have no words for the veal. And to top off this wonderful meal, it had to end with a divine Abade Priscos pudding...Don't change anything!

Contrary to custom, yesterday, they served a cold, tough roast veal. Inadmissible for an iconic house like Adega Popular, where roasted veal is the great reference of this restaurant! I will hardly return, nor will I recommend it to anyone.
