Fantastic time at the Faro Beach hotel, Staff were so helpful and friendly especially Gabriella Valente who went the extra mile to make my birthday weekend extra special. Breakfast buffet was terrific with alot of choices and all very fresh and plentiful. Location was brilliant, everything just a short walk away, restaurants and bars on our doorstep. Only downfall was our visit to the Beach Club, the Private terrace for hotel guests was closed, but there was no notice of this at the hotel before we made the journey. We still enjoyed the beach however.
We where very welcomed at the hotel Staff very pleasant and helpful Room was small but the bed was THE BEST BED EVER We slept so long and so comfortable The aircon was a bit noisy but maybe that’s why we slept long we could not hear any other noises Walking distance to bus and trains Beautiful breakfast ! Best view over the Marina We cannot fault that hotel Highly recommend it
Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The views over the marina from the rooftop bar are stunning. The hotel is very central to the bars, restaurants, shops, bus and train stations, historical attractions and boat trips. The selection of food at breakfast was excellent and the staff on reception and in the restaurant were all very friendly. Always smiling and happy to help. The room was really good and very comfortable and well equipped, although the refreshments provided in the room were somewhat pityful! Two camomile teabags provided on day one which were not replenished again during our 5 night stay! We enjoyed Faro both as a city and as a base to explore other places. Whilst we were there there was live music and craft stalls most evenings near to the hotel which was a bonus. A particular shout out for Gabrielle Valente who was super efficient, super friendly and made us feel very welcome! Thanks very much .
Staying at this property was the worst experience I have ever had. We had an issue after booking through Expedia (separate issues) where the hotel was notified that our dates needed to be pushed back due to flights being cancelled and delayed. The hotel claimed they were never contacted even though I have multiple emails showing they were notified. Upon check in, we were put into a room, and the air-conditioning was not working (we booked two rooms as we were traveling with family). The temperature in the room is approximately 81°F. They sent someone up to look at it who agreed the air was not working properly. The front desk did not believe us so they came to the room to check it themselves and eventually agreed that something was wrong and it was not cooling down. I told the front desk person that I would not pay for the night at the hotel which was around $300 because I was not receiving the service I expected. I was told that they did not give refunds and it was not their fault the air-conditioning was not working. The next morning after speaking to multiple different managers, I was told the room would not be refunded for that evening because we choose to sleep in the room, however they were unable to switch our rooms because the hotel was sold out. We were forced to sleep in a room where we laid in a pool of sweat all evening. Keep in mind the hotel would have still charged me for the room if I made the decision not to stay and go to a different hotel. After talking to many people they still refused to refund me for the night, They placed us in a new room the second night and asked us to immediately vacate our current room, so that housekeeping could get it clean so someone else can check in (air still not working). They let me know the room they were going to move us to would not be until sometime later that afternoon because the people currently have until 12 PM to check out and then the room would have to be cleaned. Another inconvenience by the hotel. The customer service was absolutely horrible, and I would never recommend this hotel. They were rude, unaccommodating, and failed to provide the service that they stated they would provide to me as a guest which includes air conditioning in a room to actually function properly. There are plenty of other places I would have rather stayed.
Should be 5 stars however booked transfer from Airport to Hotel with the Hotel Reception and was charged £50 euros, which is extortionate considering the bus back to the airport was £5 euros for 2 of us, felt ripped off.

We have visited this hotel/terrace for 10 years and only ever had drinks before. The view is fabulous and we’ve never been disappointed. This time we finally decided to try the restaurant and food. OMG, what an amazing evening we had. It is very clear the staff are trained very well. The welcome was lovely and we were shown to an outside terrace table with a stunning view. We were given advice on pre dinner drinks (bottle of Sparkling) which was not only professional but knowledgeable. We chose a variety of dishes including meat and fish. The food arrived and the presentation was beautiful….the taste equally matched the look. Very high quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. The service was brilliant and all staff were beyond professional but not ‘stuffy’. The pork was succulent, the surf and turf beautiful and the Portuguese steak so beautifully cooked and tender it was faultless. The desserts didnt disappoint either. The Churros were heavenly, the ice cream divine, the brownie was sublime and the orange pie……to die for. The wine with dinner was a superb recommendation again. We will be returning and not just for drinks. The whole experience was fantastic. We all felt we had found a true gem. Thank you to Marcelo and everyone at the restaurant for a memorable evening of professional quality. We will see you soon
Mixed experience; Hotel located perfectly in the middle of the town (city is a stretch!) Pool and roof bar great, small but functions well Rooftop restaurant had good food available but depended on the time of the day which was a bit limiting Plentiful towels for the pool, noting it’s essentially a plunge pool and has about 12 loungers! Some of the strange quirks.. We had a premium room- it didn’t have a view or balcony (that was ok) but had cardboard cups in the bathroom and for the Nespresso machine and no milk for the paltry “complimentary”supplies which where very limited. I don’t appreciate cardboard/Paper- I prefer a china cup/glass and given the paper cups were wrapped in plastic it wast a decision based on sustainability! Staff were lovely but didn’t always tell you the full story- so we discovered the “beach club” was actually a bar not a club as such, so no showers/pool/complimentary loungers etc There is a hotel shuttle but if it’s full you can also use bus/water taxi/Uber (note bus still requires a 20 min walk) we didn’t know that until the day we were leaving!! There is a left luggage facility at the hotel as you would expect but what surprised us most that there is no option to have a shower after checkout but before leaving on a late flight- have never encountered this in a 4*+ hotel before. The answer was we can offer the toilet to change in!!
Exceptional establishment, breakfast with homemade food for 8.00 euros for two and quite generous, an adorable couple of owners, and Madame who wakes up a real chef in the kitchenYou have lunch there for a modest price using natural and processed products, prepared by the chefOnce again, this little bistro restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside and it's located outside the tourist trails. If you are staying in Faro, point this restaurant on your GPS

Traditional cuisine, a smiling and generous owner. This is the right place to eat without breaking the bank in a local restaurant. I recommend !

A friendly welcome, in all simplicity and with great kindness. We let the waitress order for us: discover Portuguese dishes. And we tasted 2 generous dishes: one based on veal and the other on breaded chicken.Delicious !As for the desserts, they were pure indulgence. A fruit salad and a tasty orange cake.Everything is homemade. And the prices are really reasonable.A beautiful address far from tourist establishments where authenticity and kindness await you.
