Absolutely gorgeous food, so inspiring. The flavours, authenticity and passion is so clear to see and to taste. Vegan options labelled clearly, vegan wines available too ~ also 95% gluten free.
We visited Faro on a Sunday when many places are closed which helped this spot stand out and I am so glad because it does not disappoint. Such an incredible team making this place what it is. 5 stars if that was allowed on non vegan spots. Stunning.

2024 I was told that I have IBS. My biggest triggers are gluten and lactose. I am a real foodie and this diagnosis was really a blow to process. Fortunately I have found my way to limit my complaints and enjoy a night out for dinner again.
This restaurant is great! The food is amazing and taking my restrictions into account is really great!. Foodporn, foodgasm whatever it calls these days you will be amazed by the flavors, mind blowing. We had a fantastic evening!

I think happy cow should have two distinct categories for veg-options (basically meat but with some vegan things - a category that is needed in places with limited options or if you're with serious meat eaters/work dinners) and then very vegan-focused with some meat. This is the second kind. 50% is vegan and clearly marked and thoroughly explained by the multi-lingual super engaged owners/staff.
Enough pre-amble: the food was freaking INCREDIBLE. I'm still dreaming of the jerk tofu. The dishes are thankfully tapas-sized / small enough that you can get 2 or 3 and try a few different things. My mom eats meat and was blown away by her fish dish but also by the vegan dessert.
I believe people should be vegan, and I wish this restaurant was 100% so. In Portugal the vegan food has been stellar. That being said, Céu absolutely stands out in Faro and you should definitely go.
The story of the restaurant is also part of the joy and I think it's important to support good people when you can. Having the owners personally and honestly engaged in making sure the meal was prefect was really nice, even though I'm normally a hands-off diner.
Note: specify your spice level. We did it and it was perfect (not spicy for my mom and spicy for me.) After 2 weeks in Portugal, nothing has been all that spicy anywhere until Céu, I loved it, but the vegan sauce for the broccoli was hotter than some people would enjoy.

Exceptional on every aspect. Jenny (from the block) was a fantastic host, and we really appreciated Chef Sky's explanations of the cuisine elevated our experience. The banana dessert is highly recommended! The octopus was also cooked to perfection. Gosh, everything was simply sublime. I will happily return here every time I'm in Faro.

The Céu is an adorable restaurant in the heart of Faro. The South American and Indonesian Fusion Kitchen is really tasty.We decided on the four course chef's choice surprise menu. All the courses were delicious with different kinds of flavors. The pork belly for the main course was especially excellent.Finally, chef Sky and his partner make the stay unforgettable. She makes a really relaxed service and he makes a very tasty menu.Thanks a lot. We will come back again.

Excellent Food & Service!We had the vegetarian chef’s choice and it was amazing! Creative, varied, surprising and super delicious. In top we had the best vegetarian steak ever - the grilled celeriac is to die for! The service is exceptionally good and we felt more than comfortable. We had the perfect dinner and we will definitely be back.

The restaurant is very modern and relaxing. The food was absolutely fantastic and the staff was as friendly and polite as can possibly be. Visiting Faro, and this is by far the best food I've eaten! From the starters, arepas, main and dessert it was all perfect! I'll definitely be back night even come back to Faro just for dinner here.
