We had 3 lovely meals all delicious and excellent value for money. The lady who owns o cerro is very friendly and helpful. There isn't a menu but what is available on the night and there is plenty of choice. We will definitely go back next year
The place is dated and tired. One of the meals grilled fish was burnt and dry. It was also quite expensive compared to other similiar restaurants. Much better places to eat.
Went for dinner after reading the great reviews. We were greeted by the owner who made us very welcome and also spoke english. She told us she is celebrating 32nd anniversary of the restaurant tomorrow. She brought us some bread and olives to start and also her home made carrot and garlic salad which was amazing! For mains, she let us know what they had today, it was a choice of sardines, chicken breast, pork ribs or fillet. All came with chips and salad. You need to definitely have dessert! They had home made desserts, we tried all 3. There was cheesecake which was super light, apple tart and also a creme caramel. At the end of the meal, the owner brought a bottle of traditional liquor and had a shot with us! Best meal of our holiday!
Had dinner and desert with some friends tonight. Absolutely delicious with an amazing homely vibe and a lovely host. I had the ribs with the cheesecake for desert. The cheesecake was one of the best deserts I have ever had! Delicious and light. With a shot of Portuguese beirao to finish it was a lovely night
We visited this lovely restaurant again today. It was our fourth visit, we love it, we always visit when we are nearby. The welcome is lovely, beer cold, food delicious and the homemade desserts are on another level. Highly, highly recommend

BBQ meat and fish served with salad and fries. No menu, just what is available on the day. Friendly staff and good English, excellent wine. Home made desserts were good and such large portions. This is excellent value for money.
The owners, Elena and her husband, have over 30+ years of providing fresh, homemade food with superior hospitality. They don't have a printed menu because they offer whatever is fresh that day. The grilled catch of the day was delicious as was the wine Elena recommended and the marinated carrots! Superb! The homemade coconut and orange cake was a special treat. Best of all was the warm hospitality offered by the owners. We felt like we were visiting friends! Please note, they do not take credit cards. Cash only. Don't be put off by the decor. It's really all about the food and the people.
