We decided to visit the restaurant based on its glowing reviews, but our experience turned out to be extremely disappointing. Despite paying 80 euros, we received poor service accompanied by a waitress who displayed a consistently negative attitude. To add to our disappointment, the food lacked any flavor or taste. Considering our experience, we cannot recommend this place to others.

We loved this place!! The mushroom and cheese pastry is bomb. And the clams ?? ! My husband loved the Fado music playing.Adriano was so kind and cool. We would hang out here if we were locals.

So I have been quite conflicted whether I should leave a review here, here I am.The service and atmosphere was absolutely fabulous. I made a booking but for some reason it didn’t go through the system. However the waiter had kindly accommodated me, which I really appreciated it.I ordered the octopus, and as what you see from my photos, I really love it until I found a curly hair in my food. Immediately, I asked what is it and ask if they can check with the chef. (I forgot to take a photo of the hair, which is really my bad). The waiter came back and said it came with the sweet potato. I had cooked sweet potato many times, but it really looked like a curly human hair, which unfortunately I forgot to take a photo. We found a sweet potato but couldn’t find anywhere in the surface that looked like the hair I found. (It didn’t look like the root hair) Both I and the waiter didn’t know what to do, and I didn’t want to make the waiters life harder. I also heard in the kitchen that they are talking about this, which made me feel uncomfortable as well. I really didn’t want to waste food but I couldn’t continue consume it. immediately paid the bill and left.I think i was disappointed because how the chef reacted to this and responded to my question.

I am giving one star because of the impolite, dishonest and unprofessional attitude. The situation is as follows: we waited 15 mins for a table, spoke with the staff and arranged to return in another 15 mins so that a table is kept. When we arrived as arranged, they have put a new table and gave it to other people without any consideration of the arrangement we had, effectively leaving us without dinner at 10pm and not even apologizing.

Beautiful restaurant. Everything we ordered was delicious. The portions were generous & the prices more than reasonable. Highly recommend the fried prawns & cod cataplanta! Favourite meal in Faro by a mile.

As vegetarians, we were pleasantly surprised to see both tofu and seitan (mock meat) on the menu. Both were very tasty. We had a lovely outdoor lunch, right next to the old city wall and gate. The waiter was very friendly, and went out of the way to make us (great) drinks that were still on the menu but no longer officially offered.
Vegetarian options: 3 main dishes in a vegetarian section of the menu, including one with tofu and another with seitan.
