First time at a michelin star restaurant. I was not very impressed. The restaurant is nice, the staff are friendly, food average for the price, very small portions and i can only describe my main course arrived in what i could only call a metal dogs bowl. the worst part was when we ordered a bottle of wine and we were not allowed to keep it on our table, we had to look at the bottle of wine on another table a few feet away and wait for one of the wine waiters to see how much wine we had left in our glass so they could top us up then return the bottle to the other table, really cant get my head around that.
What a wonderful meal. We left Check-in for our last evening in Faro, where we had eaten well every day of our stay. However, this was the highlight. Beautiful plates that celebrated the ingredients rather than smothering them in other flavours. The starters were particularly delicious, and we loved the menu - it was difficult to choose! The highlight for me was the slow-cooked octopus, which was so soft it melted in the mouth. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, and the building (which I believe they moved into quite recently) is lovely. The restaurant’s own wine made for a good glass too! The price-quality was excellent. We have dined in many Michelin-started restaurants and, whilst this doesn’t have a star (yet!), it definitely deserved the accolade of being in the guide. Would return without hesitation.
Nice atmosphere sitting outside. The service team really is well organised and they all play their roll in this dinner experience. There isn't a menu, but the a la card is with some interesting options. The food was well made and with lots of tast.
The emperor’s new clothes. Overly pretentious with minuscule portions bordering on the ridiculous. All very well presented, but disappointingly lacking in flavour.
I would say don't go there with expectations of a normal European michelin starred establishment. The staff are fussy but not that good. The starters we had were good .. 6 out of 10. The mains were poor 2 out of 10. There is little complexity or depth to the menu and their ability to handle problems ( of which we had many) is very low. I would not recommend this place at all
The food is great: seasonal, inspired and well executed. The wine pairing was excellent and the service was very friendly. All in all: an awesome experience !
Great food, and ambience!! Suberb wine try the chef’s own selection ! reasonable and superb. The food and service is great and prices are good from a michelin star chef-this new concept restaurant is a must and you should share every dish its what its made for !! A must not to miss when you ate in Faro! ????Lionel and your staff???
The food and service were excellent. Slow cooked octopus appetizer was tender and very flavourful. Grilled bream was moist and nicely seasoned. Cataplana was very flavourful. Taste was very balanced between seasoning and natural seafood. Service was very friendly and attentive.
Excellent food, thank you very much, Chef Leonel! Mr. Vitor, the Sommelier, offered a perfect wine pairing by the glass to our choices, and everyone, who attended our table, was very nice, friendly and had a very good sense of humor, we had great fun with the young man from Sao Paulo, who served our dishes and explained them to us . Must have: Seafood Cataplana, this was a masterpiece!
Staff were wonderful, very kind and friendly. Octopus was very tasty for starter. I ordered the prawns, ajillo style. I got 6 prawns, not in ajillo style for 16 euro. Total rip off. I honestly could not recommend this restaurant in spite of the lovely staff. Felt hard done by with all the beautiful restaurants to choose from. Not for returning. This is the first time I have felt compelled to write a review.

Lovely food. We had a nice table on the terrace and most diners were able to sit outside. Really high quality service which provided and a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience. It was a bit more expensive that some other meals we have had in Faro but still very good value compared to what we’re used to in the UK for a restaurant like that.
Food here looked amazing and tasted amazing, staff are incredibly attentive, they also catered for gluten free without a hassle. Drinks were kept topped up and staff were friendly.
The couvert bread (3.50) is tasty, but on the hard side. The starter (15,-), quinoa with vegetables, is an unusual flavour combination of very sour and sharp. The main course, mushroom risotto (35,-), is delicious. And for dessert, a beautiful colourful fruit platter. In total, I paid 75 euros for 3 courses.
Vegetarian options: Geen vegetarische opties, in overleg wel wat mogelijk.
High quality restaurant. Great service, fantastic food and the chef passes by to have a wee chat??Recommended if you want to have a gastronomic experience in Faro ???
Outstanding meal and service. Each dish perfectly balanced and even nostalgia-invoking, but with some lovely surprises for the palate. Very helpful sommelier.
