I don't give zero stars because I can't. I have been coming to the island for 14 years and the treatment is getting worse every time. They treat us worse than a dog, they have no education or respect, I get the impression that foreigners don't like us. They seem to be doing you a favor by feeding you (at not cheap prices) when we do the favor for them by going to their place to eat. I won't come back again, I've come this far, I can't stand any more contempt, you deserve that no one goes to your restaurant. What a pity you give me!!! And another thing, seeing me, you are going to continue seeing me because I am going to continue going to the island like the previous 14 years, but passing through the door without entering. Rude, learn manners!!!!

Extremely long waiting time. No customer support. Smell of diesel throughout the meal because everything that arrives on the island is deposited next to the restaurant, so the tractors that deliver leave their engines running with permanent gas oil smells. Olives and manteiga and pao remained on the table for two hours without being touched and were billed to us before return. However, hello respect for the cold chain. Batatas fritas served cold. Only the tuna was very good. The waitress is very unfriendly and should change jobs, no customer consideration. In addition, the catering standards are not respected, some people eat lunch shirtless and in swimsuits. There are other restaurants on the island where the staff are much friendlier. The staff were unimaginably rude. I went to the WC, and saw the door sign showed it’s available. I tried to open the door but it was not going anywhere. So I knocked, and no one answered. Few seconds later, an incredibly uneducated female staff opened the door and screamed at my face right away “IT IS PORTUGUAL!!! DO NOT DO THIS HERE!!”. Even I explained the door sign was broken and apologized, she kept screaming at my face. Even told me the door sign might be broken, but anyway you should obey our Portuguese rules. If you do not want to experience such rudeness on your holiday, DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE!! They are extremely hostile to tourists with no idea what is so called manners.

During visit, my fiance got screamed at during for trying to open the toilet door (sign said it's open) by one of the waiters. The rant of the waitress included racist remarks, without apology from other staffers who clearly saw the incident. Don't recommend to visit.
The best Sea Bass (Robalo in Portuguese) can be found here. You can have it either grilled or fried, both are excellent options. They also do clams really well. Everything is caught fresh in the ocean.
Service can take longer when they are busy but it’s just part of the experience of dining on a little island.

The service was very fast and attentive.The food arrived immediately and was delicious.When you arrive they offer you the fresh product they have through a counter.In my case I ordered meat with clams and I don't regret it, spectacular.

A group of fourteen arrived shortly after 1pm as pre-booked. Some of the fish dishes were not available but all of the group enjoyed the food that was served, the majority with a seafood theme. We had to order drinks a couple of times before they were served but the group very much enjoyed the experience thank-you.
