Very good food, excellent presentation, very fresh fish, local and daily products. The place is OK but too small. Music is too loud, prices are a bit high. No japanese tea to drink!
Quite simply put the best sushi that I have ever eaten. The waiter was superb at explaining the options and each dish as it was brought out. We had the pearl experience, which was €75 per head. Don’t let the price put you off, this menu changes each and everyday - they buy the fish fresh and prepare a custom taste experience from the catch that is available. They encourage you to eat the food in a preset order to take advantage of the taste design. Do it, it really is sublime. The potions are exactly correct so you won’t be feeling hungry at the end of the evening.
One of the best sushi places outside Japan. Innovative dishes and superior service.
A rare gem seamlessly embracing both Japanese tradition and taste exploration.
Excellent quality of fish and very fresh. Just a couple of comments:Waiter only told us of things unavailable once we were about to order (o’toro and eel) and didn’t serve soy sauce with nigiri as he said “it’s not needed”, which I understand for some sushi but it was a bit awkward since I would’ve enjoyed it more how I usually eat it.If you’re looking for salmon, Waiter said they don’t serve salmon because the restaurant only serves top quality fish ????Just minor things but I would definitely recommend for the quality of food!
We didn't pick off the menu but gave the waiter a general idea of the type of fish we liked and they did the rest. Really tasty and the dessert was amazing too.
I had a lovely omakase experience here. The ingredients' quality is high. Yuzu sauce is overused in some of the dishes. Okay sake and the rice can be improved. Great service as the staff are all very attentive, friendly, and welcoming. Overall pretty good sushi outside of Japan at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.
Great service and the best/freshest food. The workers visit japan yearly to improve their craft. Highly recommend
pearl really has the freshest and best sushi, wonderfully prepared fish. Highly recommend Omakase at the bar for the best experience.
One of the best sushi I had outside of Japan, go for the tasting men, probably the best spend 75 € ever!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Delicious food, incredible drinks, great service. We got bottomless sake and didn't even pay for it. Definitely worth the visit!
Didn’t try the sushi restaurants here in Faro but this one was pretty good.I like the vibe and the very first page of their menu (their approach to food and culinary)The food was not the best of my taste. The oysters with ponzu sauce was amazing. The rolls were average. The stuff was knowledgeable and friendly. The music was ok.The acoustics was good. The lighting was better than average. If you are into some Asian food which is locally sourced, go for it!
Terrific sushi - but not the €9.99 all-you-can eat variety. Pearl is a high-end experience, in food, service, ambience and price. The dishes, even basics like miso soup, are based on classics you recognize, but use local ingredients and detailed preparation. Don't go expecting California Rolls or Dynamite Rolls for example. Pearl's rolls are several notches up, using fish that is available locally. Ditto the nigiri.Don't miss the ceviche! It's reminiscent of South American ceviche, but with Japanese influences and local ingredients. Awesome.€60 for two including sake. They also have an omakase option (about €70 p.p. if I remember right).
Nice sushi with good quality, extremely overpriced. When I saw the menu...I thought I was at the Nobu in NY or Kanazawa in Lisbon.10EUR for a chocolate mousse?36EUR for 20 tiny small sashimi pieces?150EUR for a 2 person meal in downtown Faro? Really? It's good, staff very friendly...but unreal prices.
Can't recommend the sushi enough but the prices... bit harsh Maybe I'll come back on a deal. The staff were friendly.
