We were so happy to find this self service restaurant serving Portuguese regional food. We were fed up of the usual giant portions served up elsewhere with bread, chips and rice. We can't eat huge portions and we don't like wasting food. Having said that, we didn't just want to eat a sandwich for lunch on our holiday. Primavera offered the perfect compromise. We didn't know what we were doing, or how much the food cost, but we went in anyway. There was plenty of choice, but we knew we wanted octopus. We got a modest portion each with some potatoes, a salad and a jug of wine. At the till our plates were weighed and the grand total was about €9. The food was good. There was a microwave available if the food needed reheating after queuing to pay. The place was full of locals (always a good sign) Takeaway was available too. It seemed very busy and popular, so we were confident the food was turned over quickly and its freshness guaranteed. We liked it so much we returned twice.
