By far the best place in the Algarve for grilled fish. Expensive, but the location alone is worth a visit (only restaurant in a desert island). Only reachable by boat, which you can catch at the docks in nearby Faro. One of my favourite places in the world.

Went to the snack bar which is outdoors with a lovely view. The food is good, my favourite was the tuna burger as the flavours were so exciting, like nothing I've ever had before and it was also delicious. It is a bit on the pricey side for Faro which is why I've deducted a star (would've made it 4.5 if I could) but it is good to support an eco-friendly restaurant and the experience of dining on a desert island is definitely unique and fun.
Wheelchair accessibility: The island itself is not wheelchair accessible unless you are an ambulatory user as you must go on a few steep steps off the boat/ ferry. There is a railing and people there are very helpful if you need help carrying the wheelchair up the stairs. However, after this there is a smooth-ish broadwalk that goes straight to the restaurant. That being said it is uphill and I personally wouldn't be able to self-propel, so at the end of the day it is only really accessible if you: 1) can walk up a few steps 2) have someone with you to push you on the broadwalk OR have really strong arms There is an accessible toilet in the restaurant as well and staff are helpful.

We ate at the bar. The food was not good. It did not taste great, the portions were small and it was really expensive. In addition, two out of a group of five suffered a stomachache after the meal (tuna sandwich, and sand shrimps), although of course we cannot be sure of the origin of the sickness.

I'm not one to give bad reviews but this is too much! Whether it’s the service, the atmosphere, the quality of the meal or the price, everything needs to be reviewed! I paid €16 for a Caesar salad which, instead of filling me up, whetted my appetite even more! These are the consequences of the monopoly of a mediocre restaurant on a magnificent island!

TO FLEE !! The service was very slow and unfriendly, the menu has totally disproportionate prices for what it is, the portions are minimal, I paid 7€50 for this sandwich (seven euros and fifty cents!!!!!), In the end I'm still hungry and it wasn't good, I come to Portugal every year and it's the worst restaurant in the country.

This place has lost its charm. With no table linen it feels more like a cafe than an upmarket restaurant. I was also disappointed to be told that the rosé I normally have was sold out and to be recommended another wine at €10 more per bottle. As we were a thirsty table of 6 and I alone was paying this would have increased the bill substantially. We were not offered a couvert, but it appeared on the bill x6. Service was sketchy.
We had drinks at the bar. The only establishment on the island which charges very high prices.

It's been transformed into a machine for serving tourists, but it's still a magical place with good (and expensive) fish. Forget the sangria, it's less than 1/3 of the volume it advertises...

Belachelijk, een extra couvert prijs vragen als je alleen nog een klein bakje garlic butter vraagt. De vrouw van de reservering bij ingang is ook alles behalve vriendelijk. Mooi eiland maar de arrogante houding van dit restaurant is echt een minpunt. Kom ik niet meer terug!

Perhaps because I had high expectations, Estaminé didn't leave me satisfied. It had a calm and welcoming atmosphere, and what appears to be a noisy restaurant inside. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to stay on the terrace as planned, because it was really windy. If it had happened, I think the experience would have been better. The food was good but didn't surprise me. However, it should be noted that the oysters were excellent. The price, as expected, is inflated by the location.
