Excellent restaurant great food and service Great choice with fish and meat dishes deserts lovely Only downside is they give you to much
Everything is great, the food, the service, the restaurant itself even the price is reasonnable for the quality. We always eat there when we are around, we just love it
Very good restaurant. Service perfect. Cataplana was great! It was a little bit stuffy, because restaurant was full. Definitely recommend.
We live very close to this restaurant and it is a go-to venue for a special occasion. This time the event was my birthday. It was an early evening so only 1 small family, another couple and we were seated. We ordered a previous favorite, a shared starter of a monkfish and prawn dish cooked in the oven. The monkfish was largely raw as were the onions used in preparation. We sent the dish back and a further attempt was made which was an improvement. Our main dish was fillet steak served with fries, onion rings, rice, and vegetables. The order was for the steak to be cooked medium rare. The steaks were raw inside. These too were sent back and the same steak and accompaniments returned to us. The staff were largely in hiding, there was no reduction in our bill and no apologies. The Maitre did not approach us. This was the best restaurant in the area but clearly, they have problems. We shall be waiting for others to recommend a good meal here before we venture back. Very disappointing. By the way, culturally you can expect a defensive response, if any. It's just the way around here.
A very large restaurant, with three separate seating areas. To be honest, it all seems a bit pretentious and the clever menu could do with some plain and simple meals. Neither this, nor their sister restaurant, has their menu available for view on websites. Our party of five had significant amounts left on four of our plates; my cod, described as cooked with garlic and oil, was smothered in onions, with some sort of onion/mushroom ragout which I could not eat. I had asked what it was served with, and was only told 'fries'. The cod itself was.ok, but the meals really were really not worth the considerable cost. Covert was brought without asking us (contrary to official guidance). Sorry, but definitely not one to return to. My wife had chicken, virtually the only meal to her taste, and she felt this very average. They forgot her separate side salad.
Location was five stars with views all along the coast and service was excellent. The food was superb, however the portion sizes are very large. My Monkfish Gratin would easily have fed two people and even as a main dish would have been large. I had the grilled Octopus for my main which was the best Octopus I have had anywhere, cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend this restaurant but do consider sharing starters or even main dishes.
I don't know of a better restaurant than this, a mandatory stop on summer vacations. We've been going for over 15 years and they haven't gotten one bit worse. Whatever you ask for, you will be right. My favorite is the chef's steaks, the zapateira, the meat foundue, the clams…. The bread that they put on you at the beginning… anyway. 100% recommended.
Restaurante con vistas privilegiadas y buen servicio. La relación precio-calidad alta. Cuidado con el vino blanco de la casa, 4’50€ la copa. El bacalao o infante no me ha gustado nada, en gran media estaba duro. El café exquisito.
We went to this restaurant last night - both our starter and very expensive (€53 for 2) shellfish main dish (cataplana de mariscos) were more than disappointing . I can honestly say I can’t remember ever having anything so tasteless and ruined by overcooking . Sadly we had no Portuguese , but the waiters honestly couldn’t give a damn . Football was on TV in the next room ! Never again !
Restaurant with privileged views and good service. The high price-quality ratio. Beware of the house white wine, €4.50 a glass. I did not like the cod or infant, it was mostly hard. The exquisite coffee.

O Infante is now under a new management..and It has turned into a good Portuguese restaurant with upper scale service and new recipes that makes it different in a zone of Eastern Algarve. Various entries and generous portions that will not disappoint. A special note goes to the staff on the floor that literally run to serve you with passion and in time even during peak hours. Reservation is neede
Over priced. Over cooked. Over rated. Under serviced. Underwhelming. Forgot the kids order which set the tone for the whole meal.
