I was recommended this place by my grandparents (my nana is Portuguese). The place is very traditional, simple menu, great food and efficient service, you’ll find all the locals here enjoying a bite to eat. The piri piri chicken was fantastic, the tomato and onion salad was perfection. The food was very cheap and we had no complaints, we even took a pudding to go and it was delicious. I wouldn’t change a thing.
Went here after dropping our son to the airport. Three of us eating, so ordered 1 1/2 chicken, chips and a mixed salad. The plate was packed with locals so had high expectations! We were served one small plate of chicken Thinking it a mistake having been served big portions in every other chusrrasquiera we have been too, we waited and nothing else came up. Our bill for a quick pit stop that left us hungry was €34. The chicken was on the bone, as expected, but barely any meat. As we left, every other person had plate of chicken, piled, which looked meaty and not bony. Maybe we were unlucky but we wouldn't go back to risk trying it again when there are so many better places to go.
Came here based on TripAdvisor and we weren’t disappointed. Arrived 30mins after opening and it was full. Very tasty chicken. Lovely tomato salad and very nice €2,50 pints of beer. Desserts looked excellent but we were full. €50 for three adults with drinks. Excellent value. We’ll be back.
I visit Portugal every 2 years , and my pit stop to eat the best Piri piri chicken in the Algarve is Restaurant O Ribeirinho. There deserts are to die for.
very cheap, was good for a fast meal, friendly staff and clean, its worth the visit to this place in algarve
Chicken was amazing service was top rate and very good dessert too gutted only came here on last night ?
Went for first time as a family of 7 for Sunday dinner. Easy to find and plenty of parking. We arrived at 7.00pm opening time, and there was already a queue. Found a nice big table and were quickly served. We all ordered piri piri chicken and chips, plus the cover. The food was excellent and we finished with some great deserts. Fantastic value for money for a simple meal for the whole family.
Unassuming place, full of locals. Good family atmosphere. By jove, they know their piri piri chicken. Perhaps the best meal we had in albufeira, and among the cheapest. Also, definitely try the carob, almond & fig tart
Extremely organized and professional team. The leash chickens are exceptional.
Rustic and pleasant.
