We only found True Food by chance while wandering around faro. We had desserts which tasted amazing! The table beside us had the vegan pizza- it also looked delicious and jam packed with toppings!

The food was not what we expected. I tasted kind of good but didn’t satisfy. The kebab was disappointing. But the fresh bread for starters was good.
The service was extremely slow - we even wanted to cancel an order cause it was taking so long.
Wouldn’t go there again.

The burger wasn't a burger, it was some excessively salty vegetable mush beneath a slice of melted cheese, with some slightly undercooked sweet potato fries and a bit of salad next to it. Not even a bun. I'm not convinced the cheese was vegan but can't say for sure.
My partner fared better with the tofu steak dish (pictured) which looked fantastic and tasted OK.

Upon arrival, I asked if everything was vegan, to which the waitress answered yes - but when we ordered dessert, my friend was told that not everything was vegan. The menu is a little confusing, so if you decide to go there and aren't sure about an item, just ask.
The forest tagliatelle was too salty and the chococlate mousse way too sweet. The special ice coffee was watery. The carbonara was OK, and the gluten free tagliatelle was probably homemade and nice.
Overall, the food is pricy and not very tasty. The staff was nice but slow and not very efficient.

Staff not friendly at all. The food was nothing like the pictures I saw online. We ordered the vegan hamburger but is was just a very soft blackbean patty topped with cheese witch was not listed on the menu and its something I cant have, it came with some sweet patatoe fries and a little arugala. This wasnt tasty at all and when she finally asked if I liked it, I said no...because I just took 1 bite and decided not to eat this. They still charged us for the meal....I was very disappointed by this.

The menu isn't clear about what is or isn't vegan in some places (for example, the carbonara has dairy free bechamel but the pasta itself has egg in it). The server wasn't very knowledgeable about the menu. I got the steak, which was delicious but should be labelled instead "coconut curry tofu on a bed of greens" because it wasn't really steak-like in any way. The pumpkin it came with wasn't cooked through enough either. It was one of the most expensive meals I had in Faro and I left hungry. Do not recommend.

I only went there because there were not many vegan options available nearby Sunday afternoon. I ordered vegan kebab, portion was tiny, the vegetables and tofu were not chargrilled, and on the raw side, it's saved by the delicious sauce. Cheese cake was flat and tasted disgusting. I was never so hungry after a €22 meal.

A good restaurant (gluten-free), a fairly elaborate cuisine, many vegan choices (but we do not necessarily understand what is or is not vegan on the menu), a little waiting but the service is cordial. The prices are a little high...

The boss recommended a typical Portuguese dish (cataplana) to share between two, it was really very good and what's more it was our son's birthday, he brought in a singer and brought dessert with candles . Thank you very much for this welcome.

Der Kebab schmeckte nach asiatischem Curry und bestand lediglich aus unmariniertem Tofu und wenigen Pilzen und Paprika auf zwei Spießen. Das Essen ist zudem recht teuer und entspricht nicht der Qualität der Gerichte.
This restaurant was an experience! The people are amazing and very funny! Also the food was amazing! It’s the perfect spot to taste some local specialties! If you are in Faro this is a must! :)

Highly recommended restaurant in the center of Faro. We visited the place for dinner and found both the service and the atmosphere very pleasant. I ordered the chicken breast with sweet potato and vegetables and it was a success. Without a doubt, it is a restaurant worth visiting.
