This is an original bar/restaurant for locals. Prices are very cheap, food is excellent. The view is great. Go there for sunset and enjoy the simple quality of life.

Nice typical Portugese cafe. Very friendly owners who were willing to “sacrifice” their free sunday and be open for a group of Dutch “locals” to watch the Dutch national team playing. Lovely shady setting under the big trees.

Unfortunately, the dishes on offer do not have a translation, for example in English. This makes it very difficult for non-Portuguese speaking customers to make targeted selections, as this is done at the self-service counter with extremely brief descriptions of what is on offer. The explanation when asked is not much more helpful, as it is also in Portuguese. I cannot recommend the cocoa with milk, it is not freshly made, but is industrially produced and tastes strangely artificial. So there is no comparison to the freshly squeezed orange juice that is also available. Payment is made at a pay machine, very impersonal, I don't like it. The dishes I chose were all edible, but this was largely purely by chance.

The best local, family owned bar where you'll meet all kinds of wonderful people. Watch football, ice cold drinks and often cocktails on offer depending on the day. Outdoor seating under the trees is lovely in the summer and a cozy fireplace for cold winter days and nights watching sports and playing cards. They offer toasts and snacks like cheese and local ham.
