Restaurant Casa de Pasto is a restaurant near the church with the bone chapel. We are 90% locals only and that's why we tried eating here. We ordered pork chops and the fish because nothing else was available. We also ordered three coffees au latte. The service is rather reserved but friendly. Unfortunately we were completely disappointed with the food. It was hardly seasoned and relatively carelessly prepared. Very strongly spiced with coriander. However, there is nothing to complain about in terms of price and the coffee was good too

We drove from Tavira after seeing this restaurant on Trip Advisor and it didn’t disappoint. Food was simply amazing along with the service. The owner was extremely friendly and informative and I won’t spoil the surprise but we cried with laughter too. Will definitely be back. Overall a superb night.

This is a total find. We had the squid cataplana and it was delicious. Stuffed with squid, clams, drenched potatoes as well as 4 massive prawns. All tied together with a sauce that was so deep in flavour it was epicly good! English speaking and entertaining host in Elio and great ambience.

From the moment we arrived we were made so welcome. Talked us through the menu, we went for the Cataplanes, our first ever and it was amazing. He showed us his fun advertising videos he had made on YouTube. A fantastic night. A must in Faro

We had a mixed plate of fish and it was great with sardines and mackerel and sea bas. Served with potatoes and salad. We shared one plate and it was more than enough. We also shared a desert had 2 coffees and a 500ml wine jar and everything was €16.00 so that was awesome! Good food. Great prices!

Excelent Cataplanas. We normally have the sqid cataplana, bt tonight went for the pork. The sqid tastes better. Fair prices and very friendly service. We will be back next year!
