A comida estava ótima e os pastéis de nata foram a cereja no topo 🫶 Updated from previous review on 2026-03-09
This restaurant has a great decoration (more seats at upstairs), and good location. The menu is good, especially with pastei de nata in vegan version...but many choices were unavailable during our trip there. Excellent food but fries were too salty for us.
Lovely ambience, friendly staff, great food.
We should all always support the small independent vegan places above everyone else… and this place certainly fits this category. Delicious vegan versions of classic Portuguese dishes made with care. The owners are lovely, dedicated and friendly. Portions are decent and full of flavour. Recommend. Updated from previous review on 2026-02-09
We stopped in this little place for a very early evening meal before we got a flight home. I was very pleased to see traditional Portuguese dishes on the menu, and we both ordered the Francesinha sandwich. No idea how close it is to a traditional one as we haven't tried it, but both of us enjoyed this vegan version. It came with a vegan 'egg' on top complete with runny yolk, which was my favourite part. There was also vegan versions of traditional bakes on offer. There's not much signage inside so we didn't realise there was upstairs seating and just ate at the single table downstairs. Card payment was accepted, thankfully as I was running out of Euros.
The good: Bitoque and vegan egg (see photos) are unique or uncommon enough to be a right treat and tasted pretty damn good. The ok: fully vegan business can’t be forgotten and one of a handful in Faro. Service both times was friendly. The meh: wife said garlic bread was very salty, I got a pie with no filling at all which was only discovered after walking some distance (see photos), I’d say pricing is on expensive side. Of particular note: HappyCow, Uber Eats and other sources all disagree on opening hours. Asking the proprietor didn’t even clear up (she said they were open long hours which wasn’t true the past 2 days we walked past and it was closed. Buyer beware. I hate giving vegan businesses mixed reviews but too many things to ignore this time.
Amazing little vegan restaurant, we had vegan pizza and Seitan burger, and guozas. Also some Portuguese custard tarts takeout. Delicious. Also has a fridge with vegan cheese and ham etc, we bought some to make sarnies for the train, what a lifeline. Couldn't recommend this place enough, loved it.
This town is not a veg friendly as Lagos, so little choice. I had a burger. It was OK. I wouldn't eat here again. There's no soap in the bathroom too wash your hands and i like my food handlers to have some.
We got two mains and one dessert. Honestly the prices were crazy. The food was good but nothing amazing
I was excited to eat the pastel de nata but it did not taste anything remotely like the real thing, or good on its own for that matter. Maybe I got a bad batch, but I truly would not recommend it. I also tried their pizza with caramelized onions. The onions made it super sweet. It was OK. On the plus side, those two items I got were quite cheap (3 euros each). Other menu items are priced more standardly.

Locale carino e cibo a dir poco pazzesco! Davvero super consigliato
Went there for pastel de nata. It was ok, but we didn't love the food or ambiente. There are nicer places around
I liked this cute little restaurant. I particularly enjoyed the nata 😋 The lady working there was also friendly
I visited here last year and went out of my way to find the place to try the custard tarts. We went again this week but was told there weren’t any and all they had was kn display. I decided to have a bagel but they too were off the menu but was told there was french toast with beans and sausages along with a ‘fried egg’. We ordered this plus croquettes. You go upstairs (although we didn’t realise this). When your buzzer goes off you go down and collect your food. It wasn’t French toast it was just a slice of bread with beans and a bit of chopped sausage on it. The egg was pretty amazing though. Bit bland to be honest. The server appeared to be alone. The sink was stacked with plates and service was a tad frosty. My husband advised me against using the toilet as it was nonstop clean. Really disappointed as I wanted it to be a great experience.
Delicious food All vegan Friendly owner Cheap (adequate priced) Nice Ambiente
