Amazing little vegan restaurant, we had vegan pizza and Seitan burger, and guozas. Also some Portuguese custard tarts takeout. Delicious. Also has a fridge with vegan cheese and ham etc, we bought some to make sarnies for the train, what a lifeline. Couldn't recommend this place enough, loved it.

This town is not a veg friendly as Lagos, so little choice. I had a burger. It was OK. I wouldn't eat here again. There's no soap in the bathroom too wash your hands and i like my food handlers to have some.

We got two mains and one dessert. Honestly the prices were crazy. The food was good but nothing amazing

I was excited to eat the pastel de nata but it did not taste anything remotely like the real thing, or good on its own for that matter. Maybe I got a bad batch, but I truly would not recommend it. I also tried their pizza with caramelized onions. The onions made it super sweet. It was OK. On the plus side, those two items I got were quite cheap (3 euros each). Other menu items are priced more standardly.

Locale carino e cibo a dir poco pazzesco! Davvero super consigliato

Went there for pastel de nata. It was ok, but we didn't love the food or ambiente. There are nicer places around

I liked this cute little restaurant. I particularly enjoyed the nata 😋 The lady working there was also friendly

I visited here last year and went out of my way to find the place to try the custard tarts. We went again this week but was told there weren’t any and all they had was kn display. I decided to have a bagel but they too were off the menu but was told there was french toast with beans and sausages along with a ‘fried egg’. We ordered this plus croquettes. You go upstairs (although we didn’t realise this). When your buzzer goes off you go down and collect your food. It wasn’t French toast it was just a slice of bread with beans and a bit of chopped sausage on it. The egg was pretty amazing though. Bit bland to be honest. The server appeared to be alone. The sink was stacked with plates and service was a tad frosty. My husband advised me against using the toilet as it was nonstop clean. Really disappointed as I wanted it to be a great experience.

Not sure what everyone is on about in the reviews. Its a lovely small cafe with good coffee and a super friendly owner. I had the breakfast bagel and i've never had vegan egg that tasted this good! The pastel de nata was amazing too. Highly recommend going here

A cozy little spot, fully vegan. We both ordered the Meat Lover Burger and it was tasty overall. The only downside was that the buns and cheese were served cold, we thought it would have been better if the buns were toasted with the cheese on top for more flavor. The staff was friendly and the vibe was laid-back. We came for lunch, and the natural sunlight streaming through the windows upstairs created a nice atmosphere. I can imagine that in the evening, with only neon lights, the ambiance might feel less inviting. Overall, though, it was a good experience. Updated from previous review on 2025-09-08

We both had the meatlover's burger. The food is simple but good. Not mind blowing but a nice place if you're looking for a snack.

I had read all the great reviews and was really looking forward to visiting the Vegan Box, but unfortunately I was very disappointed. The only positive thing I can highlight is the animal liberation focus. The place itself seems a bit outdated and was slightly dirty. The burger buns were untoasted, and we got fewer than 10 fries with our meal. The fries were more like homemade potato wedges, which weren’t crispy at all — though at least the taste was okay. The seitan burger consisted merely of a slice of seitan, which also tasted a bit strange — a pan-fried slice of smoked tofu would have been much tastier. The cheese on the burger was also just a cold slice; toasting it briefly in the oven to let it melt a bit would have been much better. The best part of the burger was the sautéed onions. Price-wise it was okay, but sadly the food really wasn’t worth the money.

A small place with good food. The vegan egg was mind blowing. I had. A Portuguese dish and it tasted like gammon and egg with rice and chips.
