The owners of the place are a couple, and they have been there almost all their lives! Friendly, close, well-disposed, welcoming treatment! Places like this are already on the verge of extinction! I recommend it.

We booked this restaurant for a romantic night out and it was completely ruined by eating at this restaurant. We saw all the positive reviews but we're now guessing they are fake. We ordered the fish cataplana which was supposed to be a fish stew, but we ended up being served a tasteless fish broth with missing ingredients. The food had absolutely no flavour and no amount of salt and pepper managed to fix it. We were asked how the food was and when we raised our concerns the waiter couldn't be bothered and literally just turned around and left without saying anything, not even a simple apology or anything. Unfortunately the food wasn't cheap at all, and we would have eaten twice at a great restaurant with the amount of money we spent here. Save your money and spend it at one of the many great restaurants that Lisbon has to offer.

Great welcome, I highly recommend.

The cataplana with pork and seafood for two was excellent, as was the mixed salad with grilled mushrooms and asparagus. Wine and port recommendations were spot-on. Service friendly and very attentive. We'll be going back soon.

Wonderful! Delicious food. Good service. Convenient location for us (just down from the castle). We’ve been here twice this week.

Lovely traditional restaurant that looks very unassuming from the outside but has a great ambience and a warm welcome inside. Highly recommend the fish stew and enjoyed a well priced local wine. Attentive service , lots of space and felt more Lisbon and less international than other restaurants we visited.

Wonderful food and very good service. Excellent restaurant near the Castle. We had prawns, salad and the fish stew for 2. The stew was amazing and the prawns very tasty and good size. Only downside is that we would have preferred the prawns deveined before cooked. But overall very solid choice

We arrived 15 minutes early and were sent away, so not a great start to the evening! We returned exactly on time and our table was not ready so we had to wait. The food was good but the service very impersonal and a little rude. Very little options for gluten free dessert so I requested fruit salad. I was told there was none left yet I could see an abundance of fruit on the counter. I wouldn’t hurry back although the clientele appeared to be mainly French speaking and the restaurant was busy
