We passed through Raposa after having passed through Almeirim and having decided that the area must have something more to offer than stone soup, and so we went further. In Raposa we went to the S. Antonio fair with some stalls. As we are more fans of good homemade food and snacks than of the sophistication of the "decorated" dish that sometimes has little flavor, we let ourselves be led by instinct and off we went.
The surprise happened because Mr. António (no, it wasn't S. António ?) recommended some beautiful fighting bull ribs, medium rare. He came first to show the delicacy that had an extraordinary appearance. Delicious, based on previous experiences I expected somewhat tough meat, nothing like that.
