An excellent restaurant with fabulous food , Fresh fish, vegan , even great pizza and divine oysters! The staff are outstanding and v friendly. We even enjoyed fado last night! Ten out of ten!
Delicious seafood with extraordinary quality and quantity. Very friendly. The plants are well design with flavour the algarve.
For us it was a.great birthday date night! The food was excellent, the service superb. Also I mentioned at booking that it is my boyfriends birthday....they gave a very nice table. But at the end ....a.big suprise...all the staff came to sing "Parabéns" and they had a piece of cake with candle for him. We had the best time. And with the Fork we were able to afford it. We had different starters and then the seafood rice. Wow! So so good. Obrigada:-) Bruno & Tina
Excellent staff.. great food and wine
Very good food quality. Creative and well presented. The Service was excellent, and the staff friendly. The sommelier was particularly really knowledgeable and friendly. The desserts were OK but not spectacular. We had the Carob Tart, which was very tasty but the portion was too small for the price. The House dessert was Ok, but not great. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience. The prices were high, but with the 50% Fork discount, the total bill was very inexpensive. I would recommend this restaurant.
Without any doubt one of the best restaurants i have been to. Delicious food and an absolutely outstanding service.
We would not have found this hidden gem if not for The Fork. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The sommelier was extremely professional and was more than happy to discuss different wines and wine regions of Portugal. The food could not have been fresher. We will definitely be back.
Restaurantji Recommends
Excellent service and very fresh seafood. First time I have eaten live (from the tank) seafood in Europe which is not a Chinese restaurant. Excellent sommelier has recommended a nice local Algarve white wine. Live music made the experiences even better. Slightly pricing but for this kind of quality of food, I highly recommend this one if you care for high quality. Don’t bother to come if you only want pizza and pasta like the next table.
Always a great experience. The staff is very friendly and also speak English. Fresh fish is delicious.
Maitre de was a young man from Manchester and was very welcoming and attentive making sure my wife's complicated culinary requirements were met. Tomato soup is a must, we don't eat fish so feel we missed out but were very pleased with our fayre.
The "Fado Night" was a special highlight that added a unique touch to the evening. The live fado music created a warm and authentic atmosphere, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the rich Portuguese cultural heritage. The food was not only delicious but also a true representation of Portuguese gastronomy. Each dish was a culinary delight, showcasing the flavors and ingredients that make Portuguese cuisine so remarkable. The attention to detail in the preparation and presentation was evident in every bite. Overall, Allgarbe encapsulated the essence of Portuguese dining, from the warm and welcoming ambiance to the mouthwatering dishes. It's a place where you can savor the true spirit of Portuguese cuisine and immerse yourself in a delightful culinary experience. I highly recommend Allgarbe to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience that captures the essence of Portugal. It's a memorable and authentic journey through the country's flavors and culture. A definite 5-star gem in Portimão!
Everything was perfect.
