Very typical restaurant frequented by locals. It’s good and plentiful. The sea bream is huge and enough for 2 people. We just found the whole thing a little too greasy... but considering the price it's satisfactory.

We have been coming to Portugal for over 15 years and tried many different restaurants. My wife and I do like finding little traditional Portuguese restaurants to sample different dishes. WELL this little restaurant is up there with the BEST! We were sat in Ferragudo square thinking about lunch and looking around and I spotted this little restaurant opposite the river. So I went on trip advisor to see if it had any reviews? It had. Most saying best Piri Piri Chicken ever. So we thought we would try it. As we arrived it had a special board outside with the different dishes of the day on. So we went inside and asked for a table. We were met by a lovely host Joanna who was polite lovely and so friendly, she advised us to the specials of the day and spoke perfect English. I had the Carne de Porco which is Pork with fried potatoes and pickles which is one of my favourite Portuguese dishes.. Well to say the dish was incredible is an understatement the pork was tender and falling apart and the dish itself was so tasty it was delicious. We had a jug of red wine followed by a Baked Apple from the oven for dessert which again was absolutely delicious. To cut a long story short we returned every day to try a different Portuguese dish for the rest of our stay and each day was as beautiful as the one before. The restaurant and its owners were so kind and accommodating even to the point that the Chef brought me out a portion of their famous Piri Piri chicken just to try during my lunch and I have to say it was the BEST chicken I have EVER tasted. So I actually bought a take away portion to take home for my super. All in all the Toc-Toc restaurant is a little Gem of Portugal. The family run restaurant is how restaurants should be and a credit to Portuguese food. Many thanks to Joanna and her family for being so friendly and cooking for us every day and just keeping a little bit of traditional Portuguese food in Ferragudo. We will be back again soon. What a lovely little restaurant. Simply equipped with a small menu but filled with the most delicious dishes. We had olives and marinated carrots with anise, garlic and olive oil. Then baby ictopus “Lulinhas fritas à algarvia”. A simple dish but with a great taste. The boss served herself and was very attentive. The prices are very cheap. Thank you, we will definitely come back
