O Portão is superb! My favorite dining location during my recent Portugal visit. If I lived in the area it would be my consistent go-to restaurant. Delicious food - excellent goat - great service, wonderful people & ambience, and local sourcing. Well worth a special trip or a detour to dine at O Portão!

Lovely restaurant. We had bochechas de porco preto com migas and some traditional desert that were delicious. The waiter was fantastic, and is also a singer and sang a bit during dinner. I unfortunately don't remember his name as we had a bit too much to drink. The food was fabulous! We had a great night!

We were late so lost our table and had to wait outside for an hour under the sweltering summer heat on the patio but we had drinks...It was worth the wait because the food was excellent and staff were super friendly and efficient. Its a traditional restaurant with regional dishes.Definitely worth repeating!

It's a traditional rustic portuguese restaurant which I highly recommend if you're ever in that region .
