“We went here for lunch with some family in July with our 11 month old and 5 year old. The restaurant was very accommodating with high chairs and children's menu. This isn't a super fancy place looks wise. But this is a mom and pop type of restaurant. It is very charming and the service was amazing! Now, lets talk about the food. We were blown away by not only the quality of the food, but the quantity of food. We couldn't believe at how much food came out. And your meal includes dessert! Highly recommend!“

“C était le dernier restaurant de notre séjour, trouvé par hasard grâce aux avis sur Google et il nous a réconcilié avec la cuisine portugaise. Nous avons pris les plats du jour, poisson et porc (pas retenu le nom mais c était délicieusement cuisiné) pour un prix de moins de 9€ le plat ! “We had lunch reservations and our food was served in a timely manner. Everything was excellent and all four of us we're happy with our service and food. I like it when I ask for water or salt or anything extra and it actually shows up, we didn't ask to ask for anything a second time. I ordered a Sangria pitcher and it was great. I drank it all by myself and I usually don't drink a lot of alcohol. LOL! At the end of the meal I got a coffee and it was brought out with extra steamed milk which was a wonderful surprise. The restaurant is very cute inside, and there is exterior seating. After eating we took a walk through the beautiful park across the street. It has a lot of water and was very tranquil with a beautiful water wheel in action.

Parking: Beware of street parking, we couldn't find the paid parking ticket machine. So, we thought there were no fees as I didn't see paid parking tickets in any other car windows. Unfortunately there was a ticket on our window from the police when we came back to our car it cost 30 Euros. For those who are driving rental cars if you are ticketed you can pay it at the police station in Tomar, otherwise it's attached to the license. Station pay department is only open until 4 and it seems no one is there on Friday. It turns out we just missed the parking lot, oops, and ended up parking elsewhere by mistake. We will be going to the restaurant again because it was a wonderful experience and understand where to park, so no fault but our own. The machine to pay parking wasn't so far away, I guess we just weren't looking hard enough. I was hungry ..“

“A nice Italian restaurant in Tomar. Beautiful terrace. Food is good .Great Italian cuisine but unfortunately service is very very slow . Around 40min..wait before starters arrived and even longer wait before we had our main courses. This should have been easily resolved if they had 1 or two more waiters. They seem to only have 2 waiters even when the place was quite busy. Service was not only slow but confused. Otherwise it could be a very good restaurant. We were unfortunately disappointed.“

“Canadian family of six just had the best meal here. My father and I both had the Piri-Piri Chicken and I have to say it was the best meal we have had on our 3 week tour or Portugal. Best chicken we have ever had anywhere. You have to try this dish. My mother, wife and daughters all enjoyed their meals as well. The service was great as well. We will go back here for sure.“

We arrived on a very wet Thursday in the first week of January so not much was open and our hearts were sinking. The extra research to find this restaurant was worth it and we highly recommended it. As good as the restaurant in Porto we celebrated my hubby’s 60th birthday and much cheaper!“

“One of the good restaurants in Tomar today. It has a very nice letter; from the secret dishes to the mirandesa steak and a fish cataplana, everything is very well prepared. Very kind staff. Good atmosphere. There are 2 very comfortable rooms and there is also a small terrace for warm nights. All homemade sweets. It is located on Rua dos Arcos in the heart of the historic center. I recommend.“

“We got in a little before close. We were fortunate enough to get a balcony seat overlooking the town and the countryside as a whole. The view plus the amazing food is an experience I wish everyone has the pleasure to experience at least once.Easily some of the best lamb ever. The cod was delicious as well. Right from the phone call made to the reservation, Mr. Franscisco's friendliness and care stood out. The menu suggestion and attention to detail predicted a good reception. And so it was. The attention to service was constant. The cod with meat, a delicious surprise, as well as the lean stewed pork served with cabbage, a comfort. The slices of Tomar sweetened the end of the meal but not without the warm comfort of a traditional grandmother's coffee... a journey back to calmer times when enjoying a coffee on a rainy day. “We ate here recently and were very impressed by both the food and the service. The restaurant has excellent views of the Nabão river and Tomar old town. The menu is varied, it’s typically Portuguese food but with a slight up market twist. We had a really enjoyable evening. The only downside we’ve found is that it seems impossible to reach the restaurant on the phone and as it gets very busy making a booking is often vital to get a table. But would definitely recommend.“

“This restaurant was recommended to us by our tour guide while we were visiting the convent and let me tell you it did not disappoint. The food here is exceptional. I ordered the wild boar and my husband got the squid. While the squid was great the wild boar was out of this world. The stew and meat were all so flavorful and delicious we almost argued over the last bites. The restaurant itself was also quite charming and our waitress was both kind and attentive. We enjoyed the Mariscada platter for 2 but it actually fed 5 of us with plenty to spare. The shrimp, lobster, and crab pate were all on point. They served the table “pressurized” wine. Not kidding, it translates to English that way. Which was really good and appropriate for the dish served. The wait staff was attentive and courteous. If you’re in the area and looking for a good meal served in a non stuffy atmosphere (and yes they do have air conditioning) then give this place a try. You will quite simply, not be disappointed.“

I ate Lúcio and my husband (wonderful fish), we ate on the balcony with a wonderful view of the river. Again, I highly recommend it! The dessert I recommend “the best chocolate cake with a scoop of ice cream” is simply delicious.

“We were recommended to try this restaurant and it did not disappoint. I ordered the grilled fish and received a whole fish plus sides. Delicious. We arrived when it opened and it filled up quite fast. Service was lovely. Such a nice local feel.“
