|| Excellent experience!!! ||
Small room with a touch of sophistication, with very friendly reception. We started with the flavored butter, it was ?! For starters, some cracked cod eggs, delicious!
Then a carolino rice from the lower Mondego with coriander and lime ? with fish from the auction, on the day it was grouper, it was like heaven, exceptional. The wine suggested by Mariana is a white Dão, very pleasant and fresh! It was a fantastic, ?irreproachable experience, worthy of Michelin Stars.
I recommend it and will come back, without a doubt.
Many congratulations to Mariana and chef Marco.?

We were just lucky and got the last table on a Wednesday evening. Everyone else has reservations. So be sure to reserve. The food was excellent and tasted great. The different flavor nuances and the exciting combinations were simply fabulous. The service was very friendly and gave wonderful advice on choosing the food and the right wine. Simply top and well coordinated! The tables invite you to eat. Small note: The toilets are old and the wall decoration is debatable as to whether it really matches the fine, high-quality food. Here I would adapt and modernize the interior. Otherwise it was a really wonderful evening and the price for the food was absolutely right!
Parking: There is a large parking lot nearby with plenty of outdoor parking spaces.

The scallop was one of the best dishes I tried in Portugal, beautiful wine list, few wine options by the glass and staff ready to resolve questions

Group of Friends who
We liked (for years) riding motorbikes until we got to Boa Mesa.
We happily arrived at Joia in Buarcos today.
What to say?
Today considered by everyone (10) to be the best, both for the discovery of new flavors, from starters to desserts and for the excellence of the service/ambience. We don't recommend anything as everything is good. We will be back.

Everything spectacular: food, intimate atmosphere with soft music and attention. We ordered escabeche and scallops for starters, and two of the meat dishes for main courses. For dessert, cherries with cocoa and brandy. Everything was a 10. They also helped me choose the lactose- and gluten-free options on the menu. To repeat and repeat.
Dietary restrictions: They advise you on lactose-free, gluten-free and vegetarian options on the menu.

Really nice meal at Joia last week.
We had Veal fillet in Madeira, scallops w whipped sierra de Estrella cheese, duck with roasted rice, all of which were very tasty.
Good service lovely place - on the quiet side, but it was a horrible foggy night.
Really enjoyed it, highly recommend!!

Expectations were high, but the experience exceeded what we were prepared for. From the friendliness, attention and care of the service, to the quality and flavor of the dishes, there is nothing to point out. We went in with some cod pastries and some scallops, the pastries that brought that familiarity that makes us shed a tear remembering grandma's cooking, and the scallops that brought a balance, warmth and freshness that made us turn around with each bite, without even having to leave the chair.
Being in Figueira, the Carolino Rice was a mandatory ingredient, so we chose the Rice with turnip greens and cod cheeks and the octopus bomb. Both wonderful, the cod one almost demands a terrace on a mild spring afternoon. Now that octopus bomb is for eating by the fireplace wrapped in a blanket... Or without a blanket as it already keeps us cozy.
We finish with a homemade sweet, which I don't even have words for... How sweet.
It's for meals like these that it's worth being alive. It is undoubtedly a space worth revisiting.

I had dinner at Jewel and I only have good things to say, from the friendly service to the super well prepared dishes. I loved the cod pastries with mountain cheese and the cod eggs, they are really worth it. I also found it very interesting to have dishes suited to seasonal products. Without a doubt a restaurant to repeat!

Excellent space, with high quality dishes and impeccable service. Price quite adjusted for the quality and positioning of the restaurant.Congratulations to Chef Marco and Mariana for the way they welcomed us. Using typical seasonal products, with a menu that follows seasonality, is an added value, which will certainly make us return on our next trip to the central area.Good luck and happiness to all of you.
