I just had a coffee, the lady was nice.
This was recommended by a family we did a food tour with. Our experience was AMAZING! The entry is very unique and sets the stage perfectly for the restaurant. The restaurant is small and when we arrived they were full but it didn't feel overcrowded. Making a reservation is recommended, so you are sure to have a table. We elected to choose a la carte options and were not let down. The service was great. The tapas are small but very unique, and we didn't have a bad dish. Every cocktail we tried was great. There was a burlesque show starting as we left. Very fun experience in Lisbon!
You can see how Mini Bar might have been kind of cool in the past - nice decor, fun concept, a menu with potential. But it's clear after a night here that they've taken their eyes off the ball - the service was inattentive and bungling, treatment was bordering on disrespectful and the food purported to be interesting and innovative but was executed in a bland and unoriginal way. Add to that what other reviewers here say - that the prices and the value did not match at all - and you have a very disappointing evening. Mini Bar might have been nice in its day but clearly the heart and vision are gone. Cannot recommend less.
All process was smooth from the reservation to the reception. The room isn't big but very cosy. The natural beauty of the place was preserved, that gives a very special environment a mix of historical and also retro look. Food was very good we didn't had the menu but tried several starters and desert. All allowed a very pleasant experience. The cabaret show is also very good allowing to merge the culinary experience with a good environment
Sooo expensive for the tiniest portions ever. Highway robbery. Average food. It’s pretentious to the point of obnoxious. I never write bad reviews but I feel people need to be warned: avoid at all cost. Unless you have money to throw away and you don’t mind leaving the place feeling ripped off and hungry.
Brilliant, unique spot that is worth it for the experience AND the food. One of our fave spots in Lisbon
Good views and service very kind

We have been to this restaurant 7 years ago and couldn’t wait to go back. Last time it was so inventive and the food so delicious we actually went twice. So imagine our surprise when we visited this time and walked away hungry and disappointed after paying $120 for (3 bite size appetizers and 1shared main course) one glass of wine and one drink. The food was not up to par except for the poke cones($15 each, bite size) With all the amazing food in Lisbon can’t understand why people still patronize the restaurant. The gimmick is not that clever if the food and value are not there! Will Not be going or recommending to friends again!
Food was horrible, pretentious and expensive. Absolutely the worst restaurant I and all of my friends have ever been to for the price. Tasteless, under seasoned, small portions and simply really poor food. Poor service. Over all the worst place we have ever been to. Nice surroundings. Don’t waste your time.

This was a truly wonderful gastronomic experience. The food was beautifully presented, and the flavours were truly excellent. The service was relaxed but expert and attentive. We were in raptures and really enjoying our evening out with friends we were expecting to pay a handsome price for such a fantastic meal, but imagine our surprise when the bill arrived and we had been charged 132 Euro for 4 Kir Royales. Admittedly the Kir Royale was not on the drinks menu, but given the pricing of some other cocktails we expected it would be about 15 Euro each. Shame on us for not checking the price at the time, as we remembered (too late) that we had been warned before heading to Portugal that ordering ‘off menu’ could be expensive. Suddenly what had been an exceptional experience tasted a bit sour. Buyer beware.
Had an excellent experience at Mini Bar. Suggest the mint martinis and the taster menu. Was delicious. Staff were delightful.
Booked this restaurant based on a review I had read and then heard no-one else mention this place so was a little unsure what to expect! Need not have worried....the restaurant is literally hidden away behind a bookcase. Did the degustation menu and was blown away! The quality of the food and the presentation were outstanding and the taste topped it all off! We just did wines by the glass rather than wines to accompany the menu which was fine. The restaurant filled up and it has a great vibe with music loud but not too loud. The restaurant is in what was the oldest church in Lisbon which is now converted into the restaurant. The chef, Jose Avillez is truly a genius!
We chose the tasting menu which was out mistake in my opinion as half of the food was bad/ weird/ disappointing Some of the dishes were great though and the ones we wld have chosen a la carte anyway so my advice wld be do that, choose the things you think you’ll like as their experimental food wasnt was great as we expected Service was great and the setting beautiful too If you want a little party book a late table for some live music show, we didnt but looked fun x
