Just reading some of the one star reviews is amusing and reveals much about the author's. This was a fantastic experience from the minute we arrived the waitress thanked us for coming to visit them and showed us to our table before two other waiters explained the menu and gave us recommendations for the wine. The food was simple unpretentious and excellent. A bottle and a half of lovely vino verde to complement the meal which comprised starters and main course of Peri Peri Chicken came to 40 euros. Great food great value. Five stars all the way.

My partner and I spent 4 days in Lisbon before finding this space, and wish we had found it sooner. Beautiful grilled chicken with wonderful service from all inside. A very warm environment, very hospitable and considerate. We will be recommending to all travelling to Lisbon!

Excellent restaurant with excellent food. We stayed in Lisbon for 4 nights and three of those we ate here and on all three occasions enjoyed the food (particularly the chicken). About 80% of the customers were locals and about 80% of those ordered the chicken. I wouldn’t describe it as a restaurant to have a nice romantic meal but more of a place to have good authentic wholesome food as it can be a bit noisy and hectic. Both the food and the drinks are very reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

A restaurant frequented mainly by Portuguese people. The cuisine is simple, homemade and prepared with fresh ingredients that are the strength of this restaurant. The parking spaces around are difficult. The restaurant has an outdoor terrace and indoor dining rooms. I advise you to book there for lunch or dinner. There's nothing to say about the value for money.

Became aware of this place during my research before visiting Lisbon and it fully deserves all the rave reviews. Like most people we had the chicken peri-peri which was simply amazing!! The service was great and the atmosphere was lively

Very good local traditional portugese food. You get a lot of food for an affordable price. Good service. We got the chicken and beef, which both were amazing. Would really recommend to gve this resturant a visit.
Wow! Saw this place on Rick Steins Long Weekends, & as we were staying close by we booked. We were not disappointed! Incredible value, fantastic food, friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere. We had the chicken, chips, rice & salad with a bottle of wine. We enjoyed it so much that we went back before we left Lisbon. This is a straightforward Portuguese, traditional restaurant. Go without expectations; simply to sit, enjoy a drink, soak up the atmosphere and eat well cooked simple food packed with flavour. Enjoy!

Piri piri chicken! Went here based on a ton of internet research (including TA) and was not disappointed! The chicken was well seasoned and the service was excellent. Wished I had gone here earlier - I definitely would have gone back again (and again). Highly recommend!

The server was so friendly and accommodating. The chicken and salmon were delicious. Servings are generous so we needed to bring home a doggie bag.
