Amazing little restaurant in a cute alleyway in Funchal with lots of tables outside. Great food, we had lapas, espetada, bolo de caco, house wine and all sides all delicious. One of our favourite meals (if not favourite, in Madeira)
The water came from small plastic bottles with a glass and the special hamburger we ordered came with garlic. You have to pay attention to this if you can't tolerate it. Unfortunately, the citizen himself was only a 2/5. which is mainly because the tomato was still 90% green and we were able to try a similar but much more convincing special hamburger the day before. Really friendly service team who were all helpful and attentive. I was searching for fish stew and read great reviews so decided to come here but unfortunately it is only served with a minimum of 2 persons. I opted instead for the limpets appetizer which was good with a bite of the lemon as suggested, and tomato/onion soup served with an egg. Both were good light tapas to enjoy with a beer on a quiet street with a few other neighboring restaurants. Appreciated the multi-languages...
