Staying at the beautiful Savoy Palace, we decided to try this lovely looking restaurant for lunch and was very pleased indeed. The food was delicious and well presented. The service is impeccable and also relaxed and friendly. Well worth a visit, recommend this restaurant.
Bigger expectations than factsAlameda is located in the 5 stars hotel Savoy Palace. They have have two outside terases, one mediteranean - opened both for lunch and dinner and another one very colorful and decorated in Arabian style which is opened only for dinner and has a different menu with Arabian dishes. As it’s the main restaurant of the hotel opened all day long, we recommend to book a table in advance, as it is very crowded especially at lunch. We had both lunch and dinner here. The food was regular, but nothing spectacular as the hotel itself. The portions were fair, well cooked, still less attention to details.A 10 + to Concierge service which was amazing both in a la carte and breakfast restaurants. The waiters in Alameda though not very attentive, we waited some time for them to come and take the order, we waited longer also for the order to come at the table and at the end there’s been a misunderstanding with the payment too, since we paid by card there, but they put the bill in our account on the room as if it was not paid. Also, when I ordered the burger with fois gras, the waiter asked me if I know what fois gras is, assuming from the start that I do not know, instead of approaching a descripting presentation of the dish.We also had dinner in the Arabian garden where I liked a lot the romantic atmosphere and the coloured furniture and accessories.

We visited the restaurant twice on our stay, once for lunch and once for dinner. It was the same menu for both.Staff were nice and friendly. Service overall good, neither rushed nor slow.Prices slightly on the higher side but quality of ingredients was very good, so you get what you pay for.Would return if I stayed at the hotel again.

The food is amazing here. We tried the Arabic menu, which included pita bread and hummus, and then for dinner lamb kabobs and a lamb stew called Tagine. We also had mango fruit rum drinks which were also incredible and the service was spot on and extremely friendly. This is a great place to eat while staying at the Savoy Palace!

We live in a hotel, so we come here to drink coffee or have a snack during the day. The hotel is new, the restaurant is also appropriate, so there are no complaints about the style. The food is nothing special but the menu is quite varied. But the service is a complete disaster. The waiters are not attached to the tables and even when the restaurant is empty, the waiters simply do not wait. Now we ordered coffee and sat waiting for 20 minutes until I came up and asked the manager how long I still have to wait. Of course, our order was simply forgotten and the nice young man who took the order for the first time just somehow didn’t fix it. Which is very strange, because all the waiters walk around with electronic displays to take orders. Okay, finally waited. They immediately asked for the bill - right there the same waitress who brought the coffee brings the bill for beer and something else. But we drank coffee, she didn’t even bother to look at the bill for what it was. All in all, again a disappointment. Too bad though the hotel is very nice and comfortable to stay

Part of the Savoy Palace, beach club style vibe to the place. Impressive to watch the staff in the open plan kitchen all cracking on with their work, lots of pans being used as everything being cooked properly to order. Big pizza oven which delivers lovely fresh pizzas. Not cheap, but good value for the quality offered.
Although it would have been convenient for lunch, as it is near the pool, we omly used it once, as it was very expensive and the food was not at all what we were expecting. I ordered the Greek salad, which quite frankly was an insult. The cheese they served was unlike any feta i gave ever tasted, the drrssing was to stong and portion was extremely small, especially considering the high price. We didn't eat there again. The Savoy should do better.
Great venue and good food, not very pricy. The staff is always around if you need anything and makes helpful suggestions. The venue is beautiful, within the savoy palace hotel, feels very calm. Unfortunately we did not stay in savoy this time but after visiting Alameda will for sure be back to stay at this hotel.

The Alameda restaurant provides a convenient and relaxed al fresco setting for lunch at the Savoy Palace, with plenty of options for different palates and appetites. There is a good range of salads, with the ceaser and waldorf ones that we have enjoyed. This time we also had the risotto with parrot fish, which was packed with flavour. The deserts are also excellent, especially the apple tart and chocolate brownie. The cocktails and mocktails, are definitely worth trying, providing refreshing options to enjoy in the Madeiran lunchtime sunshine.

drinks served warm, did not have cold mineral water, the wine we had to use ice cubes. The greek salat was very cheap, blackened olives and cheapest feta. So to much money for cheap food
(Translated by Google) The service is very slow, the waiters serve the people who come in groups first, the cocktails are not even good. Deplorable service.
