It may just be bad luck on the night we visited, but the dinner took 2.5 hours to get through (which was way too long). Perhaps the restaurant was unusually short-staffed. The quality of the ingredients were very good, but repetitive. Only real complaint on the food was with the tarte tatin which was executed poorly (crust soggy, fruit mushy).

The staff is incredibly friendly, the service is perfect, and the dishes are delicious!
An address to remember when we return to Madeira for the holidays. It’s the best restaurant we’ve eaten in, and their chocolate fondant is the best in France or Portugal ♥️

The menu as in the pictures is a bit outdated, but the offering is sufficient and very good. The prices are moderate, the service is excellent. The prawn risotto and spaghetti pesto as well as the matching wine were excellent.
