I ordered takeaway because I was tired from hiking. I ordered the chickpeas spiced and caron seeds with onion and tomato gravy (13,90€) and french fries (3,90€) . It took maybe 10 minutes. There are several vegan options. The food tasted good.

We had Chana Masala and Daal and it was very good! Serving Sizes are a little bit small.

All the food was really tasty. Only giving 4 stars as we requested everything to be made spicy and it still wasn't spicy to our taste. Lovely balcony space to sit.

The first time we came to an Indian restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. All very delicious and a super familiar and friendly treatment. They gave us two starters while the dishes came, although the truth is that they brought them out very quickly. It's a pleasure to go to places where they serve you so well. Price quality is great. If you have never tried it, I recommend it.

I am vegan so ordered samosa and masala, if you are normal human one main is enough believe me. The staff were super nice but I was disappointed as
1. They charged me for bread that I was sure was part of the meal as my order was taken and I wouldn’t have ordered if I knew it’s not part of it
2. The was a very hard thing inside the bread that the staff explained was cinnamon stick and apologized multiple times. You should warn customers that they might bite something hard
3. You added service to the bill just like that

They gave me a free small starter and food was good but sadly won’t be coming back here

We have just eaten at the Chef Guru and had a wonderful meal. We booked ahead as there were 10 of us, 6 adults and 4 children. The staff were friendly and helpful, explaining the food to us. We were served with dishes of complimentary popadoms and amuse bouche which were delicious. This was followed by our chosen food which was delicious. The portion sizes were plentiful and scrumptious. You could easily pass this restaurant if you didn't know it was there but definitely worth looking out for. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Incredibly delicious food you often have to look for such a good Indian restaurant. The portions are large and of good quality, and you get something from home for free to whet your appetite. I'm not sure what it was but it completely surprised me, totally delicious! The price is totally reasonable, not too expensive even though it is so good. I'll go there again in a few days.

Excellent experience in the Lido district of Funchal. We ate there as a family of 4, for a very reasonable price. Very respectful service, and slightly spicy but very fragrant food as we requested. We had a great time, you can go there without fear, you will not be disappointed. Thanks to the Chef and the entire team at Restaurant Guru Indian.

After reading all the reviews we decided on Chef Guru for our dinner tonight and it didn’t disappoint!
The food was delicious, we had the Chicken Tikka Mango and Lamb Madras, both full of flavour and tasty. Before the main meal was served we were served poppadoms and then a small complementary starter which again was full of flavour!
Customer service was excellent also and the staff couldn’t do enough to ensure you had a good meal experience! We would highly recommend. Thanks
