Everything good but terrible service!! Despite ourselves, we found a nice fly cooked alongside the fish. The vegetables were changed but there wasn't much apology for what happened. Extremely expensive for what they offer, €70 for two and they didn't offer anything given the accident.

Hard to beat in terms of taste! A quiet little side street that invites you to linger. We had a very nice few hours, with good wine, a very tasty greeting from the kitchen, a very good starter, a main course that was perfect for me and a dessert in the restaurant to round everything off. Absolutely recommended!
Food wasn’t seasoned properly and service was incredibly slow - it took 4 times of asking to get the bill. Wouldn’t recommend the pork and egg starter - quite plain - though baked octopus was okay. As others have said, they charge for the bread starter and tap water. Pretty disappointing given the strong average Google Maps rating. Wouldn’t recommend

Excellent restaurant in a cute street. The food was tasty and the staff were incredibly friendly. We had the tuna steak which was very delicious and meat chops which came with home cut fries that were incredible.

Absolutely awful! Ordered appetizers which took almost 45 minutes to come out. Ordered a Portuguese style short rib which was raw and cold. Cook which is part owner came out of the kitchen 5 times to bark at us about the time it took to the appetizers to come out and how medium rare meat is served cold, we asked her on several occasions to drop the subject so we can enjoy the rest of our meal but she continued to scold us over the appetizers and raw meat. Just an absolutely awful e experience and our night in Madeira was completely runnier but his restaurant. Do not eat here and look elsewhere.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Der Service hingegen sehr schlecht. Wir konnten zu Beginn erst auf Nachfrage bestellen. Nach der Vorspeise wurden wir dann einfach vergessen, so dass wir 1h auf unser Hauptgericht warten mussten. Währenddessen wurde dann auch unser Besteck einfach weggeräumt. Kann passieren - aber wir haben nicht einmal eine Entschuldigung erhalten.

After a week in Madeira, this was our favorite restaurant. For the friendly service and the quality of the food.
Super large and filling portions. We shared two main dishes and a dessert and ended up very full. The cod and rice with seafood are highly recommended.

I arrived at 6:30 PM to a completely empty restaurant, yet the staffed, whilst talking mostly Portuguese instead of English, pushed me around "you can't sit here, go sit there" of course to not so conveniently placed tables. Made me feel like a second grade guest. There was literally no other guest there! I walked away, there's a lot of other restaurants right next door where you can feel welcomed.
Great restaurant. Stopped in by chance while passing by. That moment when everything was at its best, from the delicious food to the quality of service by the staff. They know a lot about their business. While waiting for the ordered main courses, they first provided a snack in the form of fresh baked goods with various sauces, and a little later one dish of appetizers as a treat from the establishment. It was very pleasant to have such an attitude.

We didn't have a good experience here. The restaurant owners seemed to be very abusive to this one worker who worked there, they were openly yelling at them and I think even pushed them at one point. The worker was working as much as they could and seemed to take everything in a chill way. This was very disturbing to witness and I do not want to condone or support any business that partakes in such abusive practices. This made our whole experience full of anxiety and sadness and we were not able to enjoy our meal and have a good time.

A wonderful culinary experience, tuna cooked medium-rare(my choice), octopus carpaccio and garlic shrimp with a very good taste. Perfect cheesecake at the end. The service was done with great solicitude and the small welcome gifts were given to us with great love (flavored butter, cod meatballs and home-made pate)

It was our first holiday evening in Funchal, we hadn't quite arrived yet and it was already quite late, so we decided on this restaurant in a very lively street. We noticed that nobody directly approached passers-by to advertise themselves. The service was very busy at the moment, so it took a few minutes. The wine was very good, there was a little attention from the house beforehand. We had a very good fish carpaccio, as a main course a rice pot/stew with fish, very tasty. The service was good, everything was fine, we would stop by again at any time
