Booked after reading reviews, for my husbands birthday. Was not disappointed at all. Everything was perfect. The best food eaten in Madeira . Service excellent, view amazing, a definite whist staying on the island. Tucked away so off the main and busy streets. Will be returning before the end of our stay, for lunch. 10/10 , well done and THANK YOU

Good food, good people. A genuine family run restaurant with good, honest cooking and very reasonably priced, including the wine. Portions are generous. A little off the tourist track above the town but good views over the bay.

Always my favourite place to eat in Funchal. Fresh home cooked delicious food. Welcomed warmly by the staff, particularly the chef ( the dad) who is great to chat to. Wonderful views across Funchal from our table on the veranda. Looking forward to visiting again next year.

Excellent authentic Portuguese cooking A bit out of the way but really pleased to have found it - obviously a locals favourite and we understood why

A gem of a local restaurant. Family run with a very personal touch. Good menu of traditional and familiar local food and a generous wine list with a good range of regional choices. Attentive, friendly service. Very reasonable prices. Do not be put off by proximity of Maritimo football stadium, which is irrelevant on non-match days. We particularly recommend black scabbard fish in garlic and white wine. A lovely place, we went back!
