Stopped by by chance, great advice and that's how we got a real treat: duck leg with rice and very, very tasty sauce...it was recommended to us as a house specialty. And we can only say: great cinema! Thank you very much!

A Sunday night in August. It was after 10 at night and my partner and I couldn't find a place to have dinner. All kitchens closed. We came to this restaurant by chance. And we had dinner for 10!
The waiter (a very young guy) explained the entire menu to us because we didn't quite understand what everything was. Literally, he explained each dish to us and showed us photos. The attention was unbeatable.
Finally we chose their recommendation: rice with duck. We ordered it to share and it was a good quantity. They give you a duck leg and a small pot with the rice.
Additionally, we ordered the bread with escabeche and the crunch cod. Both things are great too.
I definitely recommend it and I will return!

We had a delicious meal here, the guys at the service are super friendly, enthusiastic and have knowledge of the menu and the island.
The flavors go very well together, sweet and spicy or just a little sour, great!
It's a shame that so many people pass by.

Discovered on the corner of the Funchal market, this traditional restaurant will surprise you with Carlos' warm welcome and the quality of the cuisine.
To help us understand the menu, Carlos, who speaks French very well, presented us with photos of all the dishes on a tablet which we ended up sharing in the center of the table.
We ate 2 tacos, 2 pitas, 2 bacalhaus, 2 beers, 2 lemonades and 2 carafes of water for €66.5, comfortably seated in the shade.
I highly recommend this establishment, you will not be disappointed!

Amazing food and staff!! Definitely come here to eat some lovely twists on Madeira dishes. Had a nice chat about the island and other stuff with the waiter who served us. Despite being located in a very touristy street, they offer very tasty dishes that are inspired by the Portuguese tradition. But it's the service that makes the difference: just friendliness and smiles. My partner and I went here for dinner and we wanted to thank the staff and in particular Ricardo who gave us invaluable advice on food and more. Recommended!

Expensive and scarce food, octopus with salty rice and hardly any octopus, little variety. Filtered water at Natural price, no non-alcoholic beer. And with very expensive alcohol. Very kind and nice staff.
