This dinner was an experience! The food was great, the service was very attentive, and the birds made the place special. For the 3 course menu the prices were great. We can recommend the steak on the stone and the chicken skewers! Also the dessert was huge. After asking, we were able to take pictures with one of the birds on our shoulder.

The food was tasty and we enjoyed the mixed grill. My husband ordered a small portion of chips and there were lots. The rice was very plain and the vegetables weren't exciting but presented well. The waitress was very polite.

Generally, not impressed. The most expensive place we’ve eaten so far on Madeira and not the best by far. I ordered “mixed fish with banana”, wasn’t even told which fish was which, which is a simple service I expected at those prices. Also, when you order fish, that is what you’ll get: fish. No sauce, no salad, nothing, just dry fish. Want to have some fries, salad, or potato on the side? €7 extra. Had to wait for over 25mins to pay the bill, to the point where I walked over to the bar and asked if we could please pay. Staff wasn’t very friendly either.

I refused to eat there simply because of the tied up parrots... Those are animals who are suppose to fly and not sit down for people's amusement or to get more costumers.. It's cruelty to animals, all those people dining there should be ashamed
