Because it looked like food across the street, but we just wanted something to drink, we ended up at John's. A very friendly lady who had lived in Switzerland for many years gave us very courteous advice at the counter, hence service 5 despite self-service. A bolo, an apple pie with the drinks, and the apple pie was wonderful with lots of cinnamon, which was a great snack and a very warm conversation.
Perfect for drinking tea or hot chocolate accompanied by a delicious homemade coconut cake, we enjoyed ourselves after admiring a superb sunrise at Pico de Ariero! Bring a little wool, it's cool in the morning.
In a deep ravine, near the levada, there is a bar that serves delicious ponche: passion fruit and lemon. Apparently it tastes different every day, but always delicious. Cheesecake with coffee eaten in such a setting improves everyone's mood.

Parking: Several parking spaces at the bar.
