We had a wonderful dinner. My wife had the seafood skewer and I had the fish of the day (sea bass).
The food was really good, the service polite and friendly.

Really tasty food, very reasonably priced and a good service in this family run business… highly satisfied and I’m really fussy about service standards!

There is 3 options for ‘dish of the day’ in very good prices between 12-16 (even on weekend). I wanted to eat something small before going to airport and it was perfect choice. Really nice staff speaking many languages.

We enjoyed our meal so much we went back for a second visit. Enjoyed limpets as a starter with the espada(scabbard) with a banana and a great selection of vegetables and sweet potato. Also enjoyed the mixed fish skewer. And finish with a Bol de Mel de canha and a glass of Madeira wine to finish. Family run with great service. Book ahead as it is popular

The food is a highlight for us after a total disappointment in the hotel. You can watch “Mom” cooking. The quality is consistently very good and the prices are sensational, in contrast to the fast food stalls on Santa Maria or the extremely overpriced restaurants elsewhere here. This small restaurant is really recommended and is no longer an insider tip;)

A fantastic cosy little restaurant near the main tourist hotels in Funchal, specialising in Madeiran delicacies. Very reasonably priced, with delicious food, excellent service and a warm and friendly atmosphere. Thanks everyone for a fab night.

Low quality, expensive.Came here for our last night on the island, ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer and the beef fillet for an entree. The bruschetta was decent, not a typical bruschetta but the mushrooms on it had good flavor. The beef fillet however was a disappointment. Accompanied vegetables were obviously frozen and of low quality. The meat itself was okay, however the flavor of the Madeira wine sauce resembled nothing of the drink, smothered in a generic ketchup taste and off putting overall.Overall a disappointing experience, it’s a shame to end what was otherwise a good trip on that note.

The place is good and so is the attention. We didn't like the food very much, generally very bland.

The restaurant is actually quite good. It’s not awkward to eat alone. I ordered a lot of seafood, skewers and local garlic bread. It tastes good and the service is also very good. But it’s better to add a non-alcoholic drink menu!

I had the Angus Beef espetada, which was fantastic, I would strongly recommend. My wife, who has food allergies, had salmon with a fruit glaze, which was nice, but the vegetables were a bit soggy. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
