Very authentic bar with local guests. Local guests only. We drank a regional poncha and watched football. The poncha with freshly squeezed orange juice was something special. The snacks looked very good. No seating outside. We recommend the restaurant without reservation.

This was our favourite place in Funchal. A great way to start your morning with a coffee and fantastic cake. It’s always full of locals and the ladies that run it couldn’t have been more welcoming and friendly.My photo doesn’t do justice of how good the cakes were. If you are passing it’s well worth popping in.

Decided to explore the non tourist area out of the Centre. Came across this bar by a sports centre. Nice and airy. Friendly staff. One of the best white wines so far this holiday and good measure Lovely Super Bok and tasty ham and cheese tapas. (Fed up with peanuts.). Mallassada Mallassada, so good we stayed for two. €8.40 all in....socameback in 2023. Still very good.
