“A small restaurant in Funchal, with quality. The boss has 2 more? Restaurants the Kampo and the Theos, I think. The kitchen is open with a counter where you can also eat as an individual. The dishes were imaginative and delicious. Even things that you might not like are prepared in such a way that they taste good. The main course grouper with seafood rice was AMAZING. Super delicious and we continued to eat even though we were full for a long time because the taste was really good... Thank you that there are still restaurants that cook fresh and good food in high season... It's a bit small but still great.

“The atmosphere is relaxed and calm with good background music, the food is ? oh my god, what a delight ? we ordered:
* sardine, eggplant and passion fruit (juicy)
* Oxtail ravioli with foie mouse and truffle (pure delight
* escalope of foie, banana and passion fruit
To top off dessert:
* White chocolate, olive and passion fruit (unforgettable)
The waiter's service was of another level, attentive, cordial, friendly, he made us feel very comfortable after explaining each dish in detail.

Try it, you won't be disappointed.
We arrived late, they only serve a menu until 3pm but with the starters and dessert we managed very well.

“We had the most wonderful dinner at Gazebo last night. We have previously been to Gazebo for private events but this was our first time going since they opened it up as a restaurant and it was just as special an experience. As always, Filipe’s food was exquisite, presentation perfect and the atmosphere intimate. Everything is sourced locally and the homemade bread was up there as some of the best I’ve ever had!“

“Was a good dinner. They did not know if they could seat a party of 10 before the chef got there. However they were able to accommodate after I called back when the chef was there.

Dietary restrictions: They were recommended on find me gluten free and they were also able to accommodate my sister who is gluten free.“

For the menu you will find more sophisticated dishes than in most restaurants in Madeira!

I recommend the executive menu at €55 per person which includes 4/5 glasses of wine and a starter/main course/dessert!

For the starter I highly recommend the foie gras in two textures, and for the main course the beef Rossini.

The only weak points of this establishment are the waiting time between the starter and the main course, and the toilets which denote the standard of the establishment…

Small bonus, for 20€ it is possible to be taken to the restaurant in an old car which makes the experience all the more romantic!“

“Arrived without reservation, staff found a good spot for us for 1.5 hours. Very good beef skewer, comes with a lot of nice side dishes and a desert. I think it’s amazing how it costs less than average in funchal center and tastes much better
Friendly staff“

“Without a reservation our group of 4 got a table quite quickly, the service was friendly but we felt that the staff sometimes could not understand us properly. I got the Greek salad and the beef kebab. The Sirloin Beef Skewer came exactly as it should, but the Greek salad had the onions missing and it had some green in it which is normally not in a Greek salad, but the rest of our food came exactly as it should. This restaurant also has great value for money.

Parking: Direct parking in an about 200m radius is unavailable from what i know, the closest is near the lido i would guess, even tho im unsure if they have even parking there. The best way to get here is by either walking or taking a taxi.“
