Busy cafe attended by many local Maderians. Table service, good pricing and friendly service. Food is tasty anything from a meal, sandwich or cake. Not overpriced and cafe cleanliness was good. Great little place to pop into
Kid-friendliness: Children come with their families and there is a nursery nearby

Great find a few years ago. We always go back when we are in Madeira.

We often drop in for a coffee and pastel de nata. Don't expect anything grand, just an 'order at the counter' shoppers coffee bar with friendly service and very reasonable prices. Snacks such as burgers or 'crispy pancakes' are also available and will be brought to your table.
Parking: Two levels of underground parking.
Wheelchair accessibility: On first floor but there is a pair of large lifts between floors or up from the underground parking.

Lovely friendly bar that we use very frequently whenever we visit Madeira. Staff are all happy and welcoming, with good service and a very relaxed atmosphere. We travel to Madeira twice a year, and this is our favourite bar to have a drink in. They serve a great Caneca of coral, not to mention the stunning Nikita’s, other cocktails and of course the Poncha! Snack menu is also good, with the Prego and burger a particularly favourite of ours. It is close to the road, but don’t let that put you off, there is seating inside and out the back too. Only been back a day and missing going there already, looking forward to being back there in July.
Good selection of drinks, cocktails and snacks at reasonable prices. Highly recommended to you. Seems to be busy all day long.
There are several types to choose

The photos are misleading. It's not the lido bar but some bar in the mall with sadly dirty tables the man behind the counter isn't taking care of. Instead he was busy talking sexist stuff with some other old unsightly men :(

We went here a few times as it was so close to our hotel. The drinks are good and reasonably priced with a wide range of cocktails. Staff are friendly but service can be slow.
We visited this bar several times at different times of the day whilst on our stay in the lido area, the cocktails are excellent quality & value for money compared to other bars in this area. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food offerings are good on the snack menu, mussels were really good as were the fries & the wraps
Stopped by for a Quick Lunch and Drinks. They didn't disappoint. Do try the Cheese and Meat Board. Excellent. Nearest we came to Tapas whilst in Funchal.

We arrived too early for check in at our hotel and decided to treat ourselves to a drink to pass the time. This was the first bar we came to which was lucky as the service was excellent and the drinks were great value. They serve a variety of snacks and the pizza and toasted sandwiches looked great. The cocktails were great value. We enjoyed a couple of drinks and will call again and maybe try the food.
We ate and drank here every day very handy for the hotel not even a 5 minute walk ALL the staff very friendly and inviting they even helped with my Portuguese. It will be very sad to goodbye. But we will be back next year x
Next door to the hotel, so handy, but I'd go if it was further away. Why? Great staff, great snacks and great drinks...what's not to like? Reasonable prices and will do takeaway If asked nicely.
Good cocktails, great selection of rums. didn't eat there but food looked OK. It did have tvs with the sport on. It was very close to the Girrasol hotel where we stayed so really handy.
I've passed Monumental Grill many times, dismissing it as a "tourist trap." That could not be further from what it actually is. The menu consists of fresh grilled meats and veggies, along with a wide assortment of side starches (batatas bravas, rice, etc.). A full liquor bar is available along with a nice selection of wines. My grilled chicken with mushroom sauce and hub's beef stroganoff were delicious, homey, and filling (I had to take half of mine home). The generous entrees are priced at around 10-12 Euros apiece, making dinner a delightful bargain. All of the staff members we interacted with were lovely and welcoming. We will be back.
