The Next Hotel Recharge Bar & Restaurant offers vegan food with theire lunch menu. So you should be there between 12:00 - 18:30h. I had the vegan burger with fries. The price was okay, the taste was good but the consistence of the patty was a bit too soft, so it fell out of the buns... The beverage are quite expensive there... All in all okay.
This has all the characteristics of an Irish bar, great food, creamy pints, banter, sessions, friendly staff, and good location . Well worth the visit. Prices are sweet , and the service is fast. The staff are very interactive with the customers. Nothing like giving the barman or waiter that nod of the head, and they know what you want. Every night, some type of entertainment is provided and it's in a nice location. Sit back, watch the TV, talk to others, or just people watch

Lively friendly atmosphere
Have visited a number of times during our stay for breakfast, lunch, dinner and quiz / music bingo nights!
Reasonably priced food and drink! Full English breakfast is a decent size and would recommend the club sandwich for lunch
During the evening activities the atmosphere is great! Loved the music bingo night as some of the tunes got everyone singing! ?
All in all, you will have a good time going to Moynihans!

This seems to be the only authentic Irish pub/eatery on the island. And is located in Funchal. They have two small but beautiful outdoor terraces, with a view, at the top of the business. In addition, there is a cozy, attractive indoor area with air conditioning. There are TV screens in various places in the store to watch sports matches (sound/English commentary can be heard clearly throughout the store). We didn't eat here, just had a few drinks and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and friendly service.
Friendly service and live music
The food was bland and tasteless, and reminded me of something I would make myself at home if I was feeling lazy. The service was fine but since the food was not worth it, I will neither return to this place nor recommend it.

I very rarely return food, especially when I’m hungry, but the chicken fajitas I ordered were so ghastly I just had to.
1 star for the Guinness & 1 star for the staff being polite and removing the meal off from the check.

Great craic, caught the all Ireland hurling final here on my holidays, owners very nice, the most Irish of all the bars in Madeira!
We visited here a few times during our week on Madeira. Good food (lots of it) and drinks, very reasonably priced and friendly staff. They also have Sky Sports which was great during the European Championship.

We sat close to the bar but it was table service so took longer than us just ordering from the bar would've. Toilets were clean and working, toilet roll and hand drying paper too. We only stayed for 2 drinks but enjoyed music. There was tvs playing sport and a place for live music. It seemed to be a fun place and we would've stayed if we weren't trying out different places tonight. Prices OK, the spirits were measured rather than poured.
